Been asked to make a few buildings for somebody for Irish War of Independance
28mm, scratchbuilt, stone faced house to be used as a barrack building
Still have roof to tile, chimney pots gutter/drainpipes to add
Will look better with a coat of primer, but it won't stop raining :'(

That looks damn good to me.
A ggod bit of inspiration to me, as I am looking for stuff suitable for 1920's Britain.
Thank you!

Like the door way how did you do that?

Metal castings by Langley Models
They make bits for OO railway modellers, plenty of scope for adapting for 28mm

McYellowbelly,
Great build. Are the walls plasticard? Can you keep us updated on how this is geeting along.

Very, very nice!

Excellent work! Just as grand as your previous farmhouse.
I wish you would consider partnering with a caster/retailer on your models. The hobby would surely be a better place if you did. :)

I did make the masters for the buildings released by Nigel Higgins for his SCW range when he had Anglian Miniatures
These are now owned/produced by Empress
I did also make an IWI farmhouse, with plans to make/cast more
UNfortunately work and a 1:1 scale extension got in the way
I may make some more masters if any producers out there want to cast/sell them?
Cheers for the encouragement :)

Glorious!
:-*
That should be one happy customer.

Cracking job :-* :-* :-*
The paint job really brings it all together.
The only thing I see that could be added is some door handles, there is no way to open the doors at the moment

If lack of door knobs is the best we can do in terms of 'constructive criticism', I'd say it's a damn fine model. Great paint job too! :)

I'm happy that's the worst comment I get! ;)
Cheers, was handpainted using Vallejo acrylics

That looks great. I had been thinking the windows / rear door frame looked a little to straight however that has disappeared completely now it's painted. Lovely work.
