Over the recent years I've written some alternative armylists for the Goalsystem Chaos in Carpathia game. The original game comes with four lists, Monster Hunters, Treasure Hunters, Vampires and Werwolves. Considering the rich background of victorian horror games this isn't a lot so I started to create a number of new lists. Over the years and with the help of some other gamers, especially Jet and Tenz and their group, we've come up with a complete set of armylists and alternative rules for CiC to make the game even more fun.
The new warband lists include 10 different warbands:
Monster Hunters (British, American, French, Hungarian)
Die Heilige Bruderschaft
Romanian Vampires
Nosferatu
Werewolves
Frankenstein and his Creations
Gypsies
There are new rules for weapons and equipment, tons of new characters, plenty of new traits giving each warband its own unique style of gaming.
To get most out of your games you should use the lists with the "secret objective cards":

Or invent you own scenarios.
The up to date version of the lists can be found here:

Fantastic, Tom, glad to see your rules growning!
Thank you for your hard work and all the inspriration, I'm looking forward to the coming games.
-
Great stuff, just downloaded you bands and will get the sheets at home, work doesn't like blogs!!!!
-
Tom, I wonder, what’s about your scenarios, shall we still use the older PDF or are you going to revise them as well?
-
The scenarios will get a revision, too. I'm just not yet sure when.
What's working pretty well is:
Seek&Find
Street Fight
Terror in a tiny town
Castle Dracula (from the CiC book)
Jet's secret objective cards are very well done and should keep you busy for many games. :)

Thanks very much- after many years we are still playing CiC- a great game.

Tenz and I were involved every step of the way over the past year and a half through every test list. We have played countless games (and in the process have painted four warbands each!). Here's a little comparative summary of the changes since the lists from 18 months ago.
Monster Hunters
In short, most characters might be a little cheaper and you'll find that you might squeeze an extra character in most Monster Hunter warbands. Dogs are a little less effective as they seemed to be dominating the game more than they should have been
The Holy Brotherhood
A completely different list now. You'll see new abilities like Tactician and Ancient Knowledge. Furthermore, the brothers themselves can be individualized. It's quite a different human warband than the Monster Hunters.
The Gypsies have remained much the same with only minor changes.
-
There are also big changes with the monsters. The Nosferatu have been tailored to be a more agile sneaky warband. Their ability to move about quickly and stay hidden, combined with their ability to drive ghouls and wolves before them offers a very specialized warband that will appeal to players who like playing a less aggressive game.
The Romanians have become the true powerhouse vampires. The new and improved Vampiric Might trait really defines them and their Acolytes.
The werewolves took a lot of work and a lot of playtesting. We wanted to make them tougher (which we did) but, as with all the monsters, their points cost took a fairly steep hike.

Just putting together the Brotherhood and need some carification on this 2 close combat weapons case:
The Bruderschaft is well equipped for it’s eternal fight. A Warband and update up to 2 close combat weapons and two crossbow bolts to silver status, equip two models with holy water (one use each) and two models with stakes for free.
Does that mean each Brotherhood gang member could receive up to 2 close combat weapons for free? Or did I get this wrong?
-
These are the free silver upgrades for weapons for the complete warband.
You still need to purchase the weapons. Before the games starts you can upgrade 2 close combat weapons in the warband to silver status and allocate 2 silver crossbow bolts to models armed with a crossbow. Each bolt is one shot. You can't recover bolts during the game. Only Daryl can do so ;).
Of course silver upgrades are only needed if you play against werewolves.
-
Now I get it, thanks, Tom :)
another question, according to this:
"The Bruderschaft can purchase all weapons from the weapons list at 2GBP less than listed"
the torch (1 GBP cost) would be for free for Bruderschaft?
-
Yep, burn the witches!
-
Thanks for sharing the results of your playtesting.
The groups look like a lot of fun. :D
-
Tom, no Holy Symbol anymore in your additions?
-
It's already included in the lists. You can only use a Holy Symbol if you have the True Faith trait, so all models with the True Faith trait automatically come with a Holy Symbol.
The same for the Medi Pack and the Medic.
