Title: 1/100 Scale Diecast?
Post by: predhead on November 30, 2012, 01:42:45 PM
First post, so be gentle...

Looking for 1/100 scale diecast military vehicles to go along with various projects ranging from Korea to the Falklands to Iraq.  I seem to be able to find some aircraft in that scale, but no vehicles.  Do they exist?

Thanks!

if you check out the following companies models you may find a lot are 1/100 or very near,
majorette, a lot of thier smaller vehicles are 1/100 esp the trucks and busses.
tomica, allthough all over the place scale wise to fit the boxes a lot are around 1/95-1/115
they even do a truck carrying a bulldozer in 1/110.
the trick is to make a note of the ones the right scale and then try to get the worn/damaged ones on ebay quite cheaply,
siku, make a few.
there are also plenty of helo's in 1/100 in diecasts as well.
there are also some of those cheapy diecasts that are to near enough 1/100.
good luck

I have a 'johnny lightning' M1A1 and a couple M2A3 Bradleys from 'forces of valor' that are almost exactly the same size as 15mm scale versions of these from QRF or Irish Serb (for the brads).
