I have just started this great little project - nothing too big just something I know I can get finished in time.
Maybe not the first thing you think of when you think WATER, but I hope the judges will allow it.
For details go to this link;

More to come very soon.

My first and possibly only work-in-progress shots of my entry. We will have to see.....

Intrigued!
I'm sure whatever you create will look brilliant though, Tony (speaking as the proud possessor of some of the half timbered houses you mastered for Grand Manner :))
-
Why you are going to built timbered houses only in this contest..? from where you have got this idea of building the timbered house..?

More teasers.
I know that it is a small entry compared to some that I have seen, and even I know the WATER link is tentative, but I'm enjoying the build and will be putting it all together very soon.

Ohhhhhh... you're making a still, aren't you?
-
It would obviously be illegal for anyone to make a still!
And I did say in the Blog that this was something I was NOT USING.
However - you know how tricky us gamers can be.....

Another update - even though I said that I would not!

Construction is complete and I will soon be starting the painting.

As one of two judges I feel obliged to tell you that from what I see of your entry the water link is very tentative indeed. Don't know if I am missing something but please consider this:
1) The main feature of your build must be something to do with water in any of its possible states.
A still where the flow of alcohol is an obvious part of the build or sculpting effort would certainly be permissable, but a contraption where the flow of any fluid is only implied, well, that is something I would have to discuss with Overlord, but I fear we would have to disqualify.
As I have replied to another entry suggestion previously:
Analogously, when Overlord and I discussed the rules we considered a steam engine emitting a puff of steam as not cricket. On the other hand a steam engine exploding in a cloud of, well..., steam, would.

To Hammers,
I was always aware that the entry may (in fact more than likely) be disqualified. This has never bothered me as the contest had prompted me to build something I have been thinking about making for some time.
I will send it off as an entry - but await your decision concerning if it can be allowed.
Not problem either way - just thanks for the impetus.

I am aware that my entry does not fulfill all of the rules and so I have decided to post details on my Blog rather than enter this contest.
I have no problem with this decision - at the very least the contest has prompted me to build a piece of terrain that I have wanted to make for some time.
Thanks for the inspiration and good luck to all who take part.
Details of my build can be found at this link;

Sorry about that, Tony. It is a very nice model but as it is a competition we need to keep things consistent. So, in absence of a hefty bribe this is the way it has to go. ;)
-
Beautiful piece Tony.
-
No problem, seriously no problem. The contest prompted me to build a model that I have wanted to make for some time. Without this prompt, it might have become (like many of my project) just a paper sketch.
Good luck to all.

The last part of my Flintloque inspired Poteen Still posts is now available on my Blog.

Originally built as an entry for this contest, the still was not entered as it did not fulfill all of the contest rules. Never the less it is included here for all to see.

And a very lovely thing it is too. Superb detailing (as ever) makes you work a joy to behold.
