Title: Demo of Legends of the High Seas at Imperial Outpost
Post by: TJSKI on March 24, 2008, 05:49:26 PM
Hey Folks,

Just a quick note, posted up some pictures of a Demo game I did at our local story on 3/15/08. Pics can be found here,

http://cursedtreasures.blogspot.com/

I built the board in a week as well as the counters, Trees (although they still need to be painted) and the small tower. The figures and ship were already painted.

Played X marks the Spot and was able to get 8 people thru the game in about 3 hours, a few of them never played any sort of mini game before. I do know that there were a few sales of the book that night as well as a few minis purchased as well.

Good looking game Tim.  8)

Those tokens are an idea I will be "plundering" for my own games.

Plunder away friend, plunder away! I have to say out of everything I built, those tokens were fun to do. For those people wanting to know what I used, just use a GW skeleton head, for the crossbones, those came from the old GW Skeleton box set and were used for the shield icons.

Quite a fun looking table. Get a little bit of the ocean in the game as well

Yeah, you could have some water action on it, it is basicly a 4' x 4' table. The other thing is if you arrange the flat ends on the outside, you have a nice little stream with a small lake.

Now if I can only keep my cats from laying on it when not in use, it would be perfect. In fact one of my cats took to lying on the "beach" section just yesterday when I was trying to take some better photos of it :)
