Title: New Jersey Provincials
Post by: scotty on December 15, 2012, 03:49:15 PM
Finished my first unit of New Jersey Provincials for the French and Indian War. The figures are from Front Rank. I will eventually increase the numbers with some figures from Galloping major. The coat colours look lighter in the photo that in real life, though not sure if I got the right shade.

There are some more pictures on my blog, including an officer. http://scottyswargaming.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/fiw-new-jersey-provincials.html

When you say "real life" is there an original uniform somewhere?

I read it as the photo has made the colours of the coats look brighter. Thus the miniatures themselves when seen by you in real life (aka not on the computer screen) look darker.

As vonplutz says, the camera made the coat colours look brighter than when seen with the naked eye.

Scotty, not sure if you're using a flash, but if you are, that could be what's changing the colour intensity of your pics here, try without flash using natural light next time  :)

BTW - your custom will be most welcome.   ;)
