Title: The last goodbye - diorama comic
Post by: beefcake on December 21, 2012, 06:53:22 PM
Over on the forum of doom there has been a diorama competition. Here's what I entered. I still need to show a wide shot of the diorama.
The theme for all dioramas was adversity.

Outstanding!  :o What software did you use to create the "comic" look? Well impressed!

I used comiclife. Currently I'm using the 30day trial, but at $30 I think I may purchase it. My wife used to use it in her kindergarten job to present the children's development portfolios, that's how I knew about it. There's plenty you can do with it. The comic is 6 different images that I just plonked in the correct order. They fit together really well
Thanks for the comments :) . I probably should have refined the comic more before posting it up, there's a few sentences that I reread and just cringed at, and the teacher side of me can't stand the grammatical errors. :-[
I used an LED to get that light shining through to the sewer feel to it. I think it worked pretty well.

Was it kind of apparent that in the last frame she wasn't there anymore and not just a random shot of a door?

I feel inspired to make more now.
I really am turning into a mega-geek

I really am turning into a mega-geek

And that's what's making you very sympathetic to me...  lol

Nice, dramatic scene. Hope to see more soon.

The minis are cool & NICELY DONE, but the presentation & story line are OUTSTANDING...an all together TERRIFIC post. I really hope this will be the first of many.
