So one of my current projects is putting together a bunch of warbands from Splintered light Miniatures 20mm fantasy range sculpted by Bob Olley. To me they have lots of character. Finished the first of them yesterday. Bugbears

Very nice, I really like the looks of these and the Splintered Lands miniatures/setting and you have done a good job painting these.
I look forward to more warbands!
-
Those certainly are in the Oh-So-Cool category...the FINE brushwork gives them a boost in that direction. VERY WELL DONE!

These guys look great for 20mm! I have gone to the SL website often, they have a lot of nice looking minis (especially those giants); I really have to get some. Coming to this forum is killing my finances.

Hey Imp, these guys look great, I love all of Bob's sculpts. I really like the skin tones and the bases; wish you had larger pics though, I'd like to see some close ups.
Cheers

Hi Imp, great beastmen warband! I reallly like those Fauns and Saytrs but my favorites have to be the Minotaurs, I see Bob Olley's style all over them. Killer banner and shields, how did you paint that colour (dirty khaki)? The green is a nice touch too; shit, I like everything!
Cheers,
Damien

Thanks Damien! The Khaki is the Terran Khaki triad from reaper miniatures with a black wash. Mr. Olley did a fantastic job on this range IMHO and one of my favorite sculptors. I've mostly seen these with red and wanted something a bit different and felt the green went well with the khaki. Thanks again for the nice comments.

Thanks for the recipe Imp. Let me tell you something funny, I keep forgetting that you have the 'Old School Miniatures' blog. If I haven't already told you. I love your blog, it is one of the best old school Grenadier blogs on the web; there is a lot of eye candy there. I didn't make the connection that you are the same person.
Cheers,
Damien

Ogres, Minotaurs, Satyrs, & Fauns all turned out TERRIFIC!I enjoy your painting style. The skin tones on the Satyrs & Fauns are OUTSTANDING. GREAT WORK!

@Damien LOL, I really need to paint up some more from the lead pile for that blog, I'm really hoping Forlorn games get's the cast on demand of old Grenadier up and running. There is still a ton of pieces I need to add to my collection.
@DefNala always appreciate your comments. glad you like them.

ace! love these!

Yeah, if the price is right I would buy a ton of minis from them too.
