Mila and I are excited to announce the release of our Pulp Alley game. Currently, the rules are only available on our Pulp Alley online store http://pulpalleycom.ipage.com/store/
(http://i627.photobucket.com/albums/tt359/sylvanbranch/Pulp%20Alley%20Art/300NEWCoverforWEB.jpg)
Pulp Alley captures the fast-paced excitement of classic cliffhanger serials and pulp magazines to more modern action/adventure stories. Designed primarily as a multi-player miniatures game, each Pulp Alley scenario is jammed full of villains, unexpected perils, and plenty of two-fisted action.
Pulp Alleys unique and innovative rules offer players a thrill-packed and engaging experience
Pulp Alley plays at the pulse-pounding pace of your favorite pulps and serials.
Characters are easy to create and customize, making each league unique.
Players never need to consult charts during a scenario. The action is on the table-top not in a rulebook.
Control of the Initiative is based on events as they occur during the scenario rather than an arbitrary die-roll.
Fights are fast-paced and simultaneously dangerous for both characters, instead of the old I-shoot-then-you-shoot sequence.
Perils and challenges are unpredictable and offer multiple paths to success.
Scenarios are plot-driven, encouraging action, and offering an array of different rewards.
Through campaigns and experience your characters can increase their skills and develop new abilities.
We provide additional ongoing support on our active Pulp Alley community forum answering questions, providing examples of play, and sharing battle reports http://pulpalley.com/index.php
The Pulp Alley rules are available in the full pdf version for $9.99, and a shorter introductory version for $4.99 both are available now on the Pulp Alley online store http://pulpalleycom.ipage.com/store/
We have several releases planned for 2013
Pulp Alley 44-page printed copies of the core Pulp Alley rules.
Pulp Leagues expanded list of character abilities, league perks, and secret societies including two new character types.
Perilous Island a peril-packed campaign setting, along with rules for creating and playing monsters.
Fortune Deck high-quality printed Fortune cards and Rewards.
And more!
It is impossible for us to mention the release of Pulp Alley without thanking our enthusiastic playtesters and supporters, who were a constant source of inspiration. Thank-you all!
HAPPY NEW YEAR,
Dave & Mila

Just ordered it now. I've read all the game reports from you and your daughter and I'm really looking forward to playing with these rules.
-
Also just bought it. Really looking forwards to this game :)
-
Bought it too, pleased to see the amount of imminent support. :D
-
Going to have to get them myself as well. Might have to wait for my secondment to Head Office to come to an end later this month before I download them, however, as I can get away with a lot more at my normal desk. :D

Bought today. Waiting for it.

Received mine and the first impressions are very good! Well looking document 8)

great game !!
Ive been lucky to be on the playtest group for about two years ....... its a blast, Ive tried allot of rules........... gameplay, how modifiers are treated, how a scenario flows, initiative, all handled with an ease. Simple to play hard to master would be a good way to explain it
I use it for Pulp games, but also for 60's spy action

forgive the unfinished table ........... its getting there 8)

I also ordered these rules. I think either Mila or Dave are psychic because I got the PDF in less than 20 minutes! They look spiffy. Can't wait to get a game in.
-
Just signed up to your forum....I'm not a gamer but like the look of things so far as I can see......
-
Thank you everyone for the amazing support! It means a lot to us and Dad even did a little dance to celebrate. lol
We're already working on our next projects so be on the lookout for some spooky monsters and other fun goodies.
-
Ordered my copy as well, I can't resist a new set of pulp rules ;D
-
Bought my pdf over christmas break when I saw the online store went live. Dave and Mila have some great customer service, and helped me out with a combined pdf for use on my tablet (original was in 3 parts to retain artwork resolution while maintaining reasonable file sizes).
Looking forward to reading through these and trying them out on the tabletop. Thanks for another pulp rules option.
-
Just read it and...WOW! I really like the rules...lots of nice options and tricks, but supereasy gameplay. I can see this getting very popular.
Once me and my mates have finished our Call of Cthulhu RPG campaign, I'll give this a try with them. Gives me some time to finish more models and scenery ;)
But first impression: 9/10
My only nitpick is the vanilla rules for shooting. I like some diversity in guns, but I can also understand why the choice was made not to take this route.
-
Tom and Cultist, these are very solid rules!
-
Got my copy yesterday & it looks like a whole mess of fun :D
The only criticism I have is that you've now distracted me from all my other unfinished projects that I promised myself I'd complete before starting something else new lol
Keep up the awesome work guys, can't wait to see what other projects you have coming up.

"My only nitpick is the vanilla rules for shooting. I like some diversity in guns, but I can also understand why the choice was made not to take this route."
At first glance this was my thinking as well, once you play the game a bit this was settled. The combination of dice type and number of dice, and perks fixed it. (for me at least) ........

The lack of weapon modifiers can take a little getting used to, but in the tradition of the best pulp adventures it's the ability of the hero that wins the day not the calibre of the firearms.
However, you could use an extreme peril to represent a lone sniper and I have been using the burst rules for sub-machine guns.
-
Sounds good....and my first impression was solely based on reading the rules and not gameplay (so purely theoretical). So your input sounds good!
We're probably playing the game at a con here in Holland in February...a good time to test the rules in a daring campaign.

Oh nice! Can you get me some photos? :D
-
Of course! Will do.

As an established curmudgeon....I have to say that the fun AARs convinced me to give this a try. So far, two readings of the rules have pretty much conviced me that I will like the game and I am really looking forward to playing this with my wife and grandkids.

I wrote review (in Dutch) on a Dutch forum...don't think many of you can read it, but it's all positive :)

The forum is woth a look, even if just for a collection of sample groups and characters.

We'll I've shamelessly gone with public opinion and ordered a copy, I'll have a read through and I may chuck some dice about to try the rules out.
Historically we've always done more Narrative games and I've essentially GM'd done scenario design etc so it would be nice to play something where I can get a little more involved.
Can't wait to read through them.

Just sent a few minutes ago. Have fun!
THANKS!

..... and, of course, two supplements already being worked on...........

Received, and skimmed through. I like what I see at first glance, although I haven't had a chance to read it fully or (obviously!) playtest it.
I have a big Russian Civil War convention game to get prepped for early Feb, then I'll sit down and do Pulp Alley justice. Expect a review on my blog too!
