Hello.
I thought I'd start a thread where I can stick all the Sci fi minis that may one day get incorporated into some kind of all incompassing setting.
As yet, I've just got a very general idea for some kind of hard SciFi, Alienesque/Blade Runnery schinnanigans, so we'll see where it goes.
I'm also gonna need a rule set. At the moment I'm leaning towards AE Bounty for small gang based confrontations, (although I don't know that much about it,) and maybe Tomorrows War for some lager scale head to heads.
Any ideas would be most welcome.
So first up are the white coats.
They will be used mainly as objectives, i.e escort them out/assasinate them sort of thing.
The minis are the moonfleet scientists. A bit of an exercise in turd polishing unfortunatley, so I kept it simple. They are also on the small side, but not to worry.
Next up are these three chaps. I see them as either detectives or perhaps corporate enforcers/body guards or professional assasins, so they'll probably see a lot of use. Two of the minis are from East Riding, the other is the 'not Deckard' from Rezolution.

Hopefully there'll be more to follow in the not too distant future.

Since you asked... Use Defiance: Vital Ground and you'll only need that one set of rules 8)
It's more or less geared for "platoon sized" or so IMCO but works for smaller force sizes as well.
On the subject of the games you mentioned, I can't give the former a thumbs-up personally tho (obviously) some people do swear by it. I'm sure there are generic (even free) rulesets that work better for small forces actions. No idea about how the latter plays really, but if you've played it before and like it then I suppose it's better to go with it than to switch.

Umm... Are you saying they are bad minis or what? I've been thinking of getting them at some point.. ???

That sounds like you actively don't like it, what is it that put you off?
Umm... Are you saying they are bad minis or what? I've been thinking of getting them at some point.. ???
Yes, IMO by today's standards they are poor, if I had had seen the casts in hand before I bought them, I wouldn't have bothered. Plus they don't scale well next to most other sci fi minis, being true 28mm.
They are very cheap however and they fill a gap for which there aren't that many options.
-
AE Bounty is decent enough, I quite like it although some of the gear isn't that balanced if you're after a competative game and the crew building system can get a little awkward if you have something very specific in mind, but still probably the best system for small scale skirmishes.
You can also try Goal system (or their Blasters and Bulkheads), I'd also suggest Rogue Trader as I have a fondness for it, or Crimson Dust if you can get the guy to send you a copy ::) Crimson Dust is a little like goal system in it's basic mechanics, but has more depth and detail, which makes it in my opinion better, but then again I am biased ;)

Well, for one it uncomfortably stradles the gap between a true open/generic and a closed game so it's really neither fish nor fowl. And from what it gives open access to, it manages to procude huge balance issues. Less of a problem if you are playing with a GM but that person needs run a pretty tight ship in order to avoid "catastrophes". The core rules themselves aren't anything remarkable one way or the other tho perhaps a bit overtly reliant on suppression as opposed to actually killing off people.

The size is not so much an issue for me as I have a lot of "fairly true 28mm" stuff. Given the price, I wasn't expecting premium quality but it's still a bit sad if they quite sub-par.
-
Love the detectives. I've got the ex-Moonfleet scientists myself. My biggest issue with them was pinheaditis. At some point I plan to replace the heads with some Hasslefree spare heads.
-
A few more protagonists.
Two more macs.

And the vulture squad, corporate merc company. Minis are reaper nova corps, and a bouncer suit from Zhandris.
The suit is actually a war droid, Number 6, more affectionately known as 'Wee Sparky'

Nice PJs and I'm especially diggin' that battlesuit support.
-
Outstanding! :-* :-* :-*
-
Nice painting! :o
For me the biggest decision on the ruleset is do you want/need a point system or not? Lots of options either way, but you gotta decide on that first.
If I was going without point values, I'd probably pick 5150 Star Army for skirmish.
If you want point values Defiance would be very cool system, and I agree it can handle both skirmish and larger unit based action. The rules do have a lot of crunch though. If you aren't the type that wants to roll up the sleeves and dive into a complex set of rules, you might not like the amount of time that will be required to design all your factions, units, weapons etc... but if you are the type you will have a lot of fun with it. Our group ended up steering clear of this, just because it was going to be too complicated for some to use - but oh the options it has!
I'd also be tempted to use Infinity and do a lot of "this counts as this". IMHO infinity is an awesome sci-fi skirmish game, but I can't see how it would scale up to unit based combat very well.
Victory Decision Planetfall will be the generic set of rules I use for unit based combat. Not sure if it could be used for skirmish.
Do keep us posted with more pictures of minis and what rules you end up going with!

I have some of those nova corps troops for some time, and haven't ever thought they looked that good, but your paint job definitely makes me want to go back and take another look at them.
Very cool scheme.
-
It's incredible what a fantastic paint job can do for what I thought were 'mediocre' minis.
Just love your style, and love this thread.
-
Some really nice painting there. Ganesha Games' Flying Lead is my system of choice for future skirmish.
-
Very nice painting, I like the macs in particular :-*
cheers
James
-
Great paint!
tt43.
-
Fantastic paintjobs. Even the drab trenchcoats of the operatives look great! Good choice of miniatures too, especially "Not-Selene", it works really well.
-
As usual, stunning paintwork!
-
Fabolous painthob on the black suits!!!
-
Some more non-coms.
These lot are the Heresy inspectors. They'll be the general technicians working the station, getting shot at, abducted etc.
Went for quick pjs, as I found it hard to get enthusiastic about the figs themselves.
Did a Zenital spray of light grey and then used citadel washes (the last ones to be phased out). Very lazy of me and the results testify to this but they'll serve their purpose, so onward and upward lol

Very nice even though they're quick paint jobs. I really like the Reaper sci-fi troopers from page 1. Never seen them before and you've done a damn fine job with the painting.
-
Very well done, that's the best I've seen those Nova Corp troops look.
-

Maybe you can use 7TV (croocked Dice) as a skirmish system (Or the free version of DocWho from Croocked dice). For larger combats I thing a variant of Warlord/Ospreys Bolt Action is a great idea.
-
You have a good eye, a steady hand and good taste.
the thread is very interesting to follow
-
Great minis, why didn't you include Veronica Blaze with the rest of the NOVA Corps minis? She looks like she belongs to that set but comes with less armour... maybe some sort of pilot.
-
Great Paintjob, and a atmospheric collocation of miniatures. :-*
-
Great stuff! Love the Vulture Squad - I'll have to dig mine out now!
-
Are those reaper troops massive? was thinking of converting some to "Doom" troopers.
-
For those who like the Nova Corp figures, they're all going to be available shortly from Reaper in the much cheaper "Bones" material.
I've got about 20 on the way. They're going to get a head swap and be painted as COBRA vipers.

Wow, I never noticed before, but you're right. She's got the same foot, shin, elbow and shoulder armor as the nova corp figures. Guess I'll have to get her too. I'm not overly impressed with the cartoon elfish face, but with my mediocre paint jobs no one will be able to tell.

She even comes with a smaller version of the backpack module, the same visor (sans helmet, but the same design) and that equipment-holding garter-thingie...
I plan on getting myself a second one and mounting her on an old Hunter-Killer-Grav-Bike from I-Kore's Syntha range.
-
Got the bug to paint these up after seeing Agis's efforts.
Direct inspiration
They are a real pain in the arse to clean up, and I wish there were more poses, but all in all I'm pretty pleased with the end result.
Head swaps from hasslefree (bloke) and Statuesque (the lassie)
Flyers are Revel easly kit, Starwars Rep. Gun ships, with a simple repaint.

The Samaritan Mercenary Company. Self styled peace bringer to areas of conflict.
The company is commonly employed by local authorities to bring an abrupt end when either things get too out of hand for their own forces, or for reasons of public opinion, the authorities don't want their own forces directly involved with quashing minor uprisings or commercial conflicts.
Dispite the company's paladin like self image, they have been linked to several suspected attrocities. However investigations by 'neutral' parties led to no definitive conclusions.
While not directly affiliated, the Samaritan mercenary Company maitains close links to the Corporate Union for New Technologies (C.U.N.Ts), which uses the company to field test much of it's miltary innovations, a beneficial relationship for both parties which results in the Samaritans having access to better than average tech level equipment compared to that of other similar mercenary companies operating in the sector.
Seen here is a squad of Samaritan mercs deploying from two atmosheric hoppers which were presumably on contract from a local logistics agency in this theater.
-
Are those reaper troops massive? was thinking of converting some to "Doom" troopers.
Yep, they're pretty big next to hassle free, about 35mm, but nothing you can't get away with.
-
Another great entry to this project! And the Gunships look very good :o Never picked them up because I thought they were too small >:(
-
What a great thread!
Looking forward to seeing more. Corporate Union for New Technologies? You naughty man. lol
-
Those gunships look the business. Well done on the entire project thus far.

Agreed, they look great. Figures are top notch too!

Fleshed out the Samaritan corps as there are rumours of possible trade conflicts with encroaching tau units.....
The reinforcements.

Blue wasn't the best choice of background colour, but oh well...
Then we have the mug shots of three human mercs who have been monitered entering the system. Each of them arrived on their own but they all had the same destination. A fact that is of intense interest to several parties, as tension continues to mount in the sector and its neighbouring systems.

Awesome!
-
Fantastic as always. Very nice work on the yellow!
-
Nice to see some bright colors from Mr Bubba! Great stuff. Thanks.
-
Really inspiring stuff, great work!
-
Lovely stuff H!
-
Bloody nice, Hubba!
-
The Mercs look fantastic, but it's the Samaritan corps that have me completely jealous. I'm having a hell of a time getting excited enough to finish off the next five I have to paint. Here you are with sixteen troopers ready to go, and they look amazing. Congratulations, and well done.
-
very well done, all of them - very realistic feel
-
nice painting! love the east riding figures, and the star wars clone wars ships look great!
-
Your paintwork is always topnotch and these are no exceptions.

If you don't mind, who produces the Petra figure?

Some new additions.
These three are courtesy of PF, fantastic figs that I would thoroughly recommend should/when they become commercially available. (Thanks again PF :))

Looking good man! Hey do you have a web site just for your projects? A blog or something?
-
Wow! Just wow! :o
-
Great stuff. It's good to see you adding to this set, the scenery is fantastic.
-
Still loving your stuff! Those PF sculpts are mighty tasty...
-
Thanks chaps. Jolly sporting of you to be so kind. :D
Looking good man! Hey do you have a web site just for your projects? A blog or something?
I don't have a blog, I was thinking about it the other day, but to be honest I think already spend too much time browsing the three or four forums I frequent regularly, and I don't even participate actively in any but LAF these days.
I think if I had a blog, the time I'd spend maintaining it and keeping it up to date is time that I wouldn't spend modelling, painting, or playing games.
I'm tempted, it would be nice to have a space to put everything together, but I think for now LAF fulfills that purpose for me, as well as being a massive source of inspiration.
By the way Ironworker, I took another long leisurely stroll through your own blog the other day, sparked by the thread you'd posted. Enjoyed it a lot. Keep up the good work. (I'm going to steal your Hell Knight painting method when I finally get around to painting my OOP metal Cadians ;) )
-
These look brilliant! Love the collection of MERCS!
-
great PJ on those
ist the scout supposed to wear a suit?
-
Nope I asked PF about it, he said he'd envisaged them as naked, but well, being British an' all, I put him/she/it in a stealth suit. lol
It was either that or sculpt some genitalia :o
-
First, thanks again for painting them!
Yes the loors are supposed to be 7 feet mean space lizard nudist warriors. One of my first aliens, the nikkar from Darkson Designs, actually had something hanging but nobody noticed and that made me very very sad so I didn't want to renew the experience. :'(
-
Yep, but it now wears a suit with hooves....
really cracking PJ and all, and also gerat idea to use the collar as a suit neck, but I'd paint him barefoot, cause it looks a bit strange.
Lizards have their genitalia in a skin pocket btw, and males have two :D
-
:D
I love these kind of abstract conversations about toy soldiers, their genitalia etc. :)
I read the feet as toed rather that hooved, it's wearing ninja socks ;)
-
Looking good Hubba, very nice painting and the backgrounds are icing on the cake.
Regarding non-anthropomorphic sci-fi races showing skin... I'm not a huge fan of the old 'exposed feet and arms' thing that seems to happen. You know, an advanced race, hand held weapons, body armor... except for the feet because they're not human feet, the aliens just can seem to design a functional foot covering? I guess its a way to show they're not human...
Nice sculpts PF, I like them a lot. Very cool.
-
I read the feet as toed rather that hooved, it's wearing ninja socks ;)
true, toe socks with hooves/toenails
they are alien shoes after all, who would know? ;)
-
Nicely hubba'd Hubba. ;)
-
Thanks for the comments :)
Two new additions; Iron bonce from the first Rogue Trader releases, and the 'Point Man' from the original Void Syntha line, (Fantastic mini :-* :-* :-*).
Plus I took what I hope are better photos of PF's minis, 'cause I think they deserve it, and then an updated group shot. I'm just missing a nice looking sniper to round the group off and then on to some pirate types.
To finish off some bendy SW battle droids I bought off Rodrigo.
Just tried to clean up the most obvious mold lines and based them. They'll do the job of generic meanies nicely, cheers Rodrigo.

There maybe some fluff to follow, we'll see how inspired I'm feeling with the stinking cold I've got, (another one!).
-
gorgeous :-* :-*
-
Wow Matt, that group shot is great! The way you paint the figures, they all blend in! Mercenaries from across the Galaxy, unite!
And it's nice to see those droids like that. I'm glad you saved them from just sitting in my pile lol
Hope you get well soon. Those colds are the bane of our existance here, in our lovely Iberian Peninsula. You get sun and warm weather most part of the year, but as soon as it gets cold...it's flu time! ;D
-
Things are gettin' heavy round here...
Dreampod 9 Mech thing, to be played as a combat droid a la 'ghost recon'.
Idea shamelessly nicked from Denatus. (inspired choice of model)
Not sure faction wise, I think it might go with the gas masked baddies from Urban Mammoth's 2nd gen Viridian line.

Awesome thread :o
It all looks brilliant together!

Very fine work. Particularly liked the Vulture Squad and the Samaritans. They respectively look like an organized military force, with uniform equipment.
-
Top stuff as usual!
-
Looks Great! Keep the tread alive.
-
Wow, how did I miss this thread? Incredibly amazing work, seriously :)
-
More excellent work! Love the look of these guys and gals.
I've been working on my Samaritans as well. Once you get past the arduous cleaning-up they're really great figs. I've got one set done and two more waiting for paint….

Awesome thread :o

Some really nice models and paintjobs in this thread, well done! :D

As for AE: Bounty (assuming you've not played it yet), it's fine. It's not great, but it's acceptable for a quick knockabout. It's main issues for me are:
1) Unbalanced skills and equipment. Easy to abuse, even if accidentally.
2) Veterancy levels are great, until you realise that Green troops are a pain in the ass to make work in a skirmish game that's supposed to be fairly action-orientated. I'd mod this to limit Green troops to certain actions rather than penalising them by only allowing one Action Point - it also helps stop gaming the Green limitation by just choosing races or skills than get around the restriction.
3) A lot of weapons feel a bit bland. Plasma and Electro lasers occupy opposite ends of the weapon spectrum, but slug-throwers sit awkwardly in the middle. Not the worst aspect by far, but you sort of expect sci-fi games to feel a bit more exciting.
4) The crew-building system makes a great fanfare of having no points, instead allowing you trade "slots" up or down for different options (generally trading down give you more slots but at a lower level, and vice-versa). In practice however it's really clunky and I find it impossible to build a list quickly. It also means that weapons/skills/equipment cannot be adjusted for some situations but not others. This is partly why some combinations of choices are so good, whereas others are really poor - yet they all "cost" the same!
However, it has many positive attributes too:
1) Fast to play
2) Very flexible, very adaptable
3) Lots of scenarios, and even a rudimentary campaign system
4) Some good ideas, like Dirty Tricks and fluffy terrain rules.
5) Different factions score differently according to their motivations for fighting. So elite bounty hunters are looking to capture the enemy, and swarmy pirate hordes are looking to kill and loot for example.
5) Lots of secondary objectives, which helps makes games more varied.
-
Very nice collection of little toy soldiers. Great painting on all of these. I also really like the terrain.
I won't lie; I am jealous.
-

He's from RAFM.
Thanks for the run down on AE bounty.

I've been struggling with my painting of late, it's far too hot and sticky here, and to make matters worse, we seem to have acquired a second squatter in our flat.
This one's smaller than the first, but twice as demanding. On top of demanding food and affection at very antisocial hours, depriving other members of the household of necessary sleep, this new arrival makes absolutely no contribution to the rent, nor cooking or cleaning duties. Truth be told, she doesn't even clean her own bottom.
To make matters worse, she has displaced me in terms of my wife's affections, I am now a lowly third in the pecking order.
I've tried talking to the offending party, to try and get her to move on, but all I get in return are vacant stares. I guess she's here to stay...
Anyhow, got this AI drone done from Sedation wars, now if I get the zeds done I might actually get around to playing a game, 4 years after the box arrived! lol

Then I finally got around to finishing this motley group of raiders, who've been sat on my desk mocking me for the best part of 2 months.
All but one of the sculpts are by Edgar Ramos, so they fit together well, although they're from various different manufacturers. I wish Edgar would do some more of his punks as they really are excellent sculpts, full of character.
They are probably more post-apoc than sci-fi, bit I'm putting them here as they'll be yet another faction in my all encompassing sci-fi setting.
Without further ado, may I present 'Bishop's Raiders'

Great stuff! Fantastic painting especially the lass with the goggles
-
Superb paint jobs on some greats culpts. They certainly have the right amount of grunge look to them. Excellent ;D
-
To make matters worse, she has displaced me in terms of my wife's affections, I am now a lowly third in the pecking order.
Be thankful. It could be worse. You could have pets and be even further down the order.
We have three cats now. I am told i am at the top of the list. But each day she gets out of bed at 5ishAM to feed those furballs.
I haven't seen a made breakfast in, hell i dont know when.
But look at it this way. Your still painting and doing a superb job at it.
The troops are looking good. Lots of color and character. Looking forward to more.

Superb painting! Not that I'd expect anything less from you, but still. ;)
I agree about Edgar's Punks; they are great but limited in number and seem hard to come by now.
If you fancy a few more to add to the group, the Scuts and Wasteland Warriors from the Dark Age Apocalypse game (Outcasts faction) are a really good match in terms of scale and detail. A little bit more "Post-Apoc" perhaps, but I'm not the only one who mixes the two! :P
-
Lovely brushwork, a real pleasure to peruse.
-
It's great to come back to this thread again. The punks are fantastic.

Converted and painted up a SAW for the vulture squad.
Not a very pleasant looking individual to be sure, but here he is...

Love it! Where is the head from?
-
Such a great project. I like the variety of minis as well as, despite the fact, that there are so many color schemas, that everything feels like it belongs together. Great job! :-*
-
Love it! Where is the head from?
It's from Maxmini: http://maxmini.eu/conversion-bits/head-swaps/generic-male-heads-bits
They're quite nice comic book type heads, and the casts were good, but be warned; they're on the big side and will look dumb on stuff like hasslefree. The reaper nava corps figs are pretty big so you can get away with it.
The pics on the site are a bit shite, the pics they used to have of the bare resin were better.
-
I have some of those troopers in the Bones material. Just contemplating cutting them away from their bases!
That conversion with the gun is nicely done, must have been quite a fiddle too - remove all of the old gun, leave the hands and replace with a new one.
-
The one I used was metal, which I think would work better as you can file bits back to get a good fit with the rifle.
To be honest it wasn't so bad once I got started, but I was a tad daunted before hand.
Anyone know if Old Glory/Blue moon maunufactuing have a distributer in Europe or the UK'
I'm hankering after some of these fellas:

As well as your lovely paint jobs the consistency of your basing has to be given props to too. Simple but really effective, complimentary rather than detracting.
Ace as ever.

Old Glory UK sells all of those on request. I got a bunch of Blue Moon and Superfigs some time ago. Write them what you want, they send you the price and a date for their next US order, pay for it and in a month or so they arrive at home.

What North Star Figure was that, that conversion is so good I can't tell which was the original?

Thanks for the feedback folks.

Lovely stuff hubbabubba, you keep an amazing level of painting and conversions going, definitely very inspiring stuff. You may have to re-post your terrain images as well at some point! :D

great thanks

Wyrdd's through the breach - or so it says under the last pic posted. ;)

I completely missed the Wyrdd multi parts models, they look interesting, for conversions. The original model for the conversion is from what line is that from? I searched North Star Minis list is quite long, Thanks.

I think its in the copplestone section.

Thanks Inso.
Been a long time but I finished these from Tom Masons Effigy minis. The company shut down when Tom took a full time job scuplting for Mercs minis as I understand it, but he's back doing his own stuff again so look him up, great sculpter.
Station Security, Star Cops or what have you.

Founders. These two are massive, even compared to the others in the same range. I'm thinking they're members of the ruling elite, with access to top of the range 'sleeves' a la Altered Carbon.

Love this thread! So many awesome miniatures. Your style works so well and your colour choices are always spot on. More!

Yeah, I think he was scuplted to be a notCorben, but I think the resemblence is pretty poor. Still, he's a nice fig all the same.

Lt. Weaver is particularly good, all around awesome. Excellent painting on the face!
De La Cruz is really neat too, I like the hair. There's some interesting stuff hidden in that range.
Not-Corben is really cool, I don't think I knew there was a mini of him.
-
Lots of great looking minis and paint jobs.
Thanks for sharing your photos.
Who makes the Samaritan Corps figures, and/or the Star Cops and their new leader?
I definitely need some of those.

Yes, they're nice figs, I have some that have been prepped and primed for a long time, but I never quite get around to them.
Lots of great looking minis and paint jobs.
Thanks for sharing your photos.
Who makes the Samaritan Corps figures, and/or the Star Cops and their new leader?
I definitely need some of those.
The samaritans are from the Sedition Wars board game and the star cops are from the now defunct Effigy minis, their leader was a kickstarter stretch goal from the Mercs minis campaign.

I somehow seem to have hitherto missed this thread. There's some jolly nice painting there, good work.

Lovely work on them all.

Those look excellent! I like your choice of colours- mostly subdued but with a few bright patches here and there really works. And I admire how your painting brings together figures from all over the place and makes them look like part of the same setting.

Wow, lovely painting as always! I particularly like these two:
Old school fighter from I don't remember which line, sold now by Excalibur minis I think.

Old Alpha forge cyborg
(https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/52749213317_deaed34fe8_k.jpg)
The top lady looks like a Werner Klocke sculpt, and I think I recall the lower cyborg being sold by Mega Minis at some point?
I always think it's such a shame that these old models disappear from sale when the company making them closes. :(

A thread that keeps on giving! As always, brilliant painting and a fantastic source of inspiration.

Alpha Forge was one of my favorites from that era.
Quirky and cool.
Your painting is excellent.

Thanks for the feedback folks.

Yep, totally agree, it's always sad when great sculpts disappear.

Yes, I remember your enthusiasm for the line back in the days I used to frequent the CMON forums, there were some real gems in there. I think I've got a couple of demobots stashed away somewhere.

Looks like if you are in the US, you can still get some of the minis - in terms of relevence you can still get the cyborg mini hubbabubba painted and shown on this thread.

Thanks for the comments.
A few more bits, I'm trying to make an effort to stay up to date, we'll see how long it lasts.

These mercenary/veteran types from the RogueStars line, by Mark Copplestone. I was excited about the Roguestars line, but to be honest I was pretty disappointed with the quality of the figs. At first I thought it was the casting, but when I recieved some replacements I saw that they were just pretty crude sculpts. They might have been up to scratch 30 years ago, but nowadays they seem sloppy. Anyway salvaged them and did a couple of head swaps for variation.

Really liking the latest additions. The head-swaps on the Rogue Stars chaps look fantastic! :D
-
I agree, great conversions, lovely paintwork.
-
Whoa, spectaclular!
-
Gorgeous painting. I’d only comment I’d have used a bit of green stuff on the toy Dino jaw crack. Looks plausible though. Well done.
-
Awesome as always

Nice work - particularly like the latest additions 8)

Thanks for the comments, some new figs.
First up an Imperial Assault fig of Sabrine Wren with a head swap.

Thank you for the comments.
I've just finished batch painting all these gribblies for some Sci fi dungeon crawl zombie bashing action.
Figs are the Strain from Sedition wars.
They took ages the clean up, the material is horrible. I made a lot of use of a Proxxon rotory tool together with files and numerous sharp blades, as the figs are cast in that horrible restic type plastic that burrs up instead of coming away clean from the mini. Even so, after priming there were mold lines I'd missed.
However, as I painted them up I was pleasantly surprised by how nice the scuplts are, just a shame they chose to produce them in this horrible material.
Horde shot firts then, some photos of the different models.

Well done for persisting with the restic, the end result is some excellent PJs.
I'd somehow missed the last update, really like the converted Sabine figure 8)

Thanks Akky

Great stuff, liking the latest additions. :)

Cracking stuff 8)

Thank you fellas.

That is an impressive selection with excellent painting.

Latest odds and ends:
Some Wargames Atlantic Harvester bugs for the hunting of, although it may well be the bugs doing the hunting, they're a tad on the large side.

Some infinity Morats that will be representing the K'erin for 5 Parsecs, I may even play my third game at last.

And finally this wastelander converted from the Northstar Roadwarrior. He's beeen painted a good while but I thought he was looking a bit pastey so gave him a bit of colour and a few other touch ups.

Excellent painting on those! I like the edge highlights and colour palette in general. I never really got along with the Rogue Stars rules, but I like most of the figures for general purpose space opera gaming. The basing on these looks good, too.
-
Wonderful painting.
-
Well done. A nice bug partner.
-
They look great. The little details, like the blue on the knee pad, add so much, and the tonal range you always achieve is so impressive. The gremlin looks very cool too!
-
Awesome work, mate!

Thankyou for the replies.

A few more bits and bobs.

Yet again, I am stunned!
Great work, hubbabubba!
-
Gorgeous.
-
Nice.

Thank you gents, I seem to have had a minor attack of the shittyphoto syndrome, the colours are very blue even after correction.
Still can't get the hang of this miniature photgraphy malarky, far too many variables for my liking.
