There's a variety of possibilities here: http://lrdg.hegewisch.net/camo.html (http://lrdg.hegewisch.net/camo.html) as well as some good details here: http://lrdg.hegewisch.net/lrdgpatrol.html (http://lrdg.hegewisch.net/lrdgpatrol.html)

The vehicles you might see at shows in pink do seem to owe more to Barbie than actuality, as the orig was described as "sandy pink" I'd suggest mixing some Vallejo Iraqi Sand into your pink, and possibly lighten it for drybrushing over the base colour.

There's an actual vehicle in the Imperial War Museum and the pink is very pink, no 'sand' in evidence. The USAF Pink on the charts is the closest match out of the one's shown.

However, this does/will look odd especially on a miniature so you might want to just paint everything sand coloured since they'd be covered in dust anyway.

Nicely done Gentlemen...

As Mrs. Goat is having her annual New Year bout of house tidying lunacy I now have the info needed to retire to the War Room and be a bit productive...

Just found this fascinating page which not only ties schemes to years but also suggests the pink was theatre mixed (like quite a lot of camo) so there is no standard shade.

There's also a few book that chap does. which may be of interest. It's off the back of the excellent Matador models.

When I was into 20mm or 1/76 scale military modelling, I collected a number of his pieces which never quite made the modelling table and are languishing in the "shed" as I no longer build or game in that scale.  :(
