Title: CiC rules question - Multiple Foes
Post by: Prof.Witchheimer on July 07, 2006, 08:51:04 AM
A question regarding Chaos in Cairo Rules, i just try to read it through. OK, close combat against multiple foes. The side with multiple participants gets the +1 die for each additional fellow, but if i'm understanding right only for the characters and not henchmen? "Henchmen group provide the equivalence of 1+" That means, five henchmen get the same bonus as ten of them?

Have the rules, and was a bit baffled about that, too.

I think, that a group of henchmen is treated as one model in all respects - just having models instead of hit points (and getting a fire bonus if several models in the group can fire at the same opponent).

Haven't tried out the rules yet, so I'm a bit concerned about how this works on the table...

It has been a while since I played it, but Argonor is correct. A group of henchmen pretty much equal one hero. They add only the +1 for the group. Each group of henchmen add and extra dice to your roll.

It seems there was a difference between henchmen and elite henchmen but I'd have to dig out the book to see.

As to how it runs. It works great. Really gives you the feel of plowing through tons of nameless extras. They can hurt you though. You get 5-10 guys on top of you at the same time, you'd better watch out.
