Well, that's just spiffy.  There's $150 gone out of my budget next month, assuming the KSer is funded.

First I read it [Cthulhu Mythos] [Foundry] [Style] and thought that the guys at Wargames Foundry had really gone mad...

So did I... But then again, if they had "dun it" I prolly would've pledged. Now, not likely. $150 may be an amazing deal for such a large mini, but after you add p&p + customs fee + VAT on top of that you are looking at something in the vicinity of $220. Which is a bit too much for a single mini for me. Mileages vary obviously.

Very nice but considering gaming purposes really no need for such a beast... Not planning on letting the player characters arm themselves with cannonss, ATRs etc.

I hear you on that most games it will not see a tabletop but that one time the look on the players faces will be true horror!  ;) Also the stretch goal minis look like they will be great.

Two of the stretch goals mini appears to be former FU-UK Cthulhedo minis. The big Cthulhu seems to take shape nicely enough. At 16,5"/42 cm, it's as close to a correct scale walking mountain as you'll get, either for 15 or 28 mm. Still, 150$ is a more than I can afford to spend right now, even if I'm tempted.

It looks like the project has been funded now it is time for some stretch goals!

Quote
Miniatures: The miniatures are in Trü 30™. Trü 30™ is approximately 1/61 (1/60.96) scale, where a six foot tall human would be 30mm to the top of the head. All the models in the Trü 30™ range will maintain the 1/61 scale to each other (Cthulhu is also in Trü 30™).

If the Lovecraft mini is in the same scale, I guess it would be ok to mix it with 28mm minis.

I am not one for kickstarters but this miniature is quite lovely.

Lovecraft and Greene will be available. As well as some other figures.
Here is the Tom Meier's Sonia Greene's green:

And some other figures to be included in the Mythos Foundry range:

The General controlled by the alien brain, the autopsied alien (I do need this one as a Delta Green terrain accessory), and the guy with the camera.

New pledge levels have been added for those who wants only the smaller minis.
$15 for Sonia Greene + HP Lovecraft
$20 for Area 51 figures

oh, now that's interesting....

Thanks

PS I assume that you can "buy" these even though they are not unlocked as stretch gaols....

Correct. The only difference is that once they are unlocked as stretch goals, pledges of more than $150 get them for free.

Good, now it's the $10 international shipping to grapple with... though I guess I'll save in the long run....

The big guy is now being casted. If you ever wondered about the process, here is a video of how it starts:

Not yet. But you can try to get in touch with the owner via Kickstarter if you want to buy something.

A scale shot:

It lacks a few tentacles, and some parts will be refined before it goes to casting, but you get the idea.

I don't want this big guy on my tabletop. It will break it.

It took seven years to fulfill, but I think it was worth waiting:

The small figure is HPL, in 28mm.

Now I need about a gallon of green paint.

I did get them together with the big guy, along with all the stretch goals of the KS campaign (including the most faithful rendition of an Elder thing to date). I don't know if they are available in any other way. I'll post pics when I have them painted.
