Excellent work! :o :o :o
Please tell us about your conversions, what figures were used?
-
Most of the figures are Wargames Foundry marching landsknechts with the addition of two marching landsknecht command figures.
They have equipment and a headswap from the Perry mercenaries boxed set from which two of the standard bearers were also assembled.

Wow real beauties :-*
-
Most excellent.

A thing of beauty (or many things of beauty) :-* :-*
cheers

Not bad... ;)
They are excellent and I really think you've captured the 'reality' of them. The hard work has surely been worth it, now that you can see them complete and dare I say perfect?
:)

Superb Stuart. What a lovely group - and a wonderful banner :)
-
Stunning simply stunning you must be very proud indeed.
-
Cracking!
-
Just absolutely beautiful. Do you have a Henry in gendarme armor for them to be accompanying to the Field of the Cloth of Gold?
-
Thanks FJ,
I have this figure of him mounted though I'm sad to say that i'm yet to find a suitable dismounted figure of a young Henry in armour
-
Wow, those are awesome. I love the banner especially!
-
Up to your unusual standard.
-
Oh very nice work on these.
-
Mind blowing work Stuart!!! :-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
I think you are right about the level and direction of the pageantry that Henry VIII would have used as a precurser to the invasion. Pageantry is a very much underrated aspect of Medieval warfare. After all, the banners and standards were more than just rallying points! These symbols communicated ideas that the troops in a said army, in an age where the population was largely illiterate, would have had a high degree of understanding.

Hi Stuart
Inspiring stuff...
The butterfly that rules my hobby life has just settled on the Tudor army of 1513 ...
And it's all your fault ;)
Keep up the good work
All the best. Aly

You know it makes sense :D

Aly, an excellent choice, you'll enjoy it plus it's not overly expensive if you utilise the Perry plastics.
Darrell, there is definitely a sense of wonder in the flags i've looked at throughout this project, symbols which seem to recur and the power of the cult of St. George, one wonders what senses of passion and identity a simple red cross must have summoned in an English soldier across the ages.

Great work!
