The Daas Ak Maa (literal translation: Fire on the Wind?) dwell amongst the lofty peaks of the northern most mountain range on Mars and are as far as I can ascertain closely related to the feared Rass Ak Naa clan. Though not as rutheless, they are no less feared amongst the city dwelling Martians. Their lightning strikes on the remote settlements along the canal routes leave no survivors. They favour distinct red armour, made from the crushed shells of small beetle like creatures found in abundance in the mountains. Although ancient legends say the armour was forged using blood taken from the mother planet.
Taken from the journal of Professor Ebenezar Von Stypher-Dyke, (University of Vienna,) written during his travels on Mars 1888 -1889

Oooh!
Very nice!
:-*
That armour is certainly versatile for colouring.
I imagine it would look good however it was finished.

Love the little bit of fluff at the beginning 8)

Very rouge!! Works a treat but I am still reeling from the fact that you are actually painting to construct a proper reply :o lol

Like them, the red armours works very well!! :o :-*

I like them a lot - red works very nicely - I must get a move on and finish my clan now :)

The thought did cross my mind. ;) lol
But I have another twelve of the red devils to finish first ::)

I'd been wondering about a blue laquer..
Wait til you see Dr DeAth's clan. ;)

Ok, ok - fair enough. lol
The red does make them look a little more sinister in my opinion - the white being a little too friendly looking.
I must say I also like Nick's "fluff" on these Daas Ak Maa, especially "the armour was forged using blood taken from the mother planet" part.
I am really looking forward to seeing some of these elusive city dwelling Martians now.

Wonderful. :-*
Will they be in action on the VSF table at Salute?
It would be nice to see them en mass and in the flesh.
The ones I bought at Warfare last year, I'm afraid, are a little timid, cowering away behind a large heap of lead, waiting for their war paint.

Yes, they will in action at Salute in a full scale aerial attack on New Victoria, the Earther capital of Mars. The table is next to the Oshiro Models stand.
Come and say hello. :)
Get some paint on yours, they are fun to paint. :)
