Title: My Horus Heresy projectette

Well all this talk of heresy finally kicked me into doing something related to my favourite period of 40k mythos. I'm looking to create about four battle squads from a number of founding legions. That way I can run little skirmish games and change allegiances in respect to time period played.

So what you see here is a selection of MK3 armour plus an Emperor's Children hero. My heresy armour will cover MK3 to MK6, with even a few loyalist MK7's too. Ive also bought a few aftermarket resin heads to bling up some of my champions and heroes.

They are sculpted/based on some of the artwork from heresy four volume set based on the ccg card game.

So I've another four MK6's to complete then that's them done. Once the marines are complete I'll look to dreads and my stock of RT rhinos and my land rider I found in my stash.

More soon.

Badass! What parts did you use for the EC hero?
Emperors Children is the chapter I am inclined to make also, well them or thousand sons. Once some one makes some helmets for them, that match the ones off of the cover of art from the novel.

No problem. Forge world MK3  legs and backpack with eagle heads from the plastic commander backpack added. Company champion chest, bionic arm with chainsword and helmet from one of the polish bits companies: steam knights helmets. Yeah I like him too. My las cannon marine looks cool too. Pics later.

Cheers

Thousand sons early and late helmets are available from the same polish resiners. Micro art, maximini krolech etc... or use chaos warrior helmets with a little plasti card crest?

Looks very nice indeed. Think I'd stick with the Wolves if I did ever go for a HH force, even though its not that differently organised from the current 40K Wolves.

Will do some wolves, plenty of parts plus using that old chaos warrior conversion idea on them. Nice and barbaric looking with a big pelt cloak.

These are great inspiration I have to say. Gives you the licence to go a little off Canon with your marines too.

More soon.

Just to say that majorsmith has the four volumes currently for sale for, quite frankly a ridiculously low price. Get em while you can great books lavishly illustrated.

Anyway more heresy minis soon.
