Title: Painting Windows
Post by: 6milPhil on April 06, 2013, 05:14:57 PM
Can anyone point me to a good picture tutorial for painting windows on vehicles please? Both my google-fu and Laf-searcharati are failing.

Thanks in advance,

Hey Phil
Did you try the FoW forums?
I recall some good step by step windows on there

I found one on there, but wasn;t impressed, so I've ploughed ahead any way...  :?

I don't know if this is any use Phil...

I used this as a reference for these windows. It seems to work of you paint darker colours toward two of the corners. I didn't use it, but a coat of varnish over the top of this may also make it better....

Lovely stuff, Andy.

I find glass a real challenge. These are 15mm:

I'm now leaning towards a more blue-grey, rather then the greys I was using when I painted those. At some point I'll do a tutorial, but don't hold your breath...
