Both really cool entries. Blackwolf.... it seems like your entries inhabit one of two personal worlds- an interwar miscellany and an otherworldly fairy tale gone with a dangerous overtone. Love them!

Admiral, I'm eagerly awaiting the name of the manufacturer of those unsettling beasts... truly alien. Fantastic job on them.

Both of these are outstanding entries! Tough to pick one...

the classical colore vs disegno. No question about the outcome  8)

is this the Savoia/Macchi in the background Guy?
Very convincing realistic palette mate. You will have to make a tutorial for faces one day for us. Always amazes me what You can squeeze out of the sculpting.

Both of these are a pleasure to look at. Lovely brushwork gentlemen.

Michael, I don't know what those things are, but they are the creepiest things I've seen on a wargames table for a long time (in a good way!!) Wonderful colours :)

Guy, lovely and enigmatic as ever. A great assembly of figures. Much as I love Mike Owen's work though (and he's one of my favourite sculptors, honest), your entry does rather show up that - if you look at the three figures on the right - a lot of his figures tend to have the same face! ;)
(No reflection on your painting, obviously :))

Those aliens are really well done and one of Blackwolf's best ever figure/vehicle photos  :-*

One of your best scenes yet, Blackwolf, just lovely!  :-*

The aliens are among the oldest miniatures in my collection, they come from Asgard Miniatures, were called "Large sadistic demons"  8) and were sculpted by one of my favourite sculptors, Nick Bibby. The original metal wings were replaced with real cicada wings a friend of mine got me from a Japan holidays. Here's the link to the Lost Minis Wiki's entry:

http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Large_Sadistic_Demons (http://www.miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=Large_Sadistic_Demons)

But, the aliens are not really "lost": a UK company bought them and sells them as 15mm "Flesharons" (with some parts missing ...)

http://www.15mm.co.uk/Flesharon_Aliens.htm (http://www.15mm.co.uk/Flesharon_Aliens.htm)

Btw, they were painted in oils, and I only needed roughly 30 years to paint them ...  :D

Toughest call of the round. like both the painter's styles and like both of their entries. Both so good but such very different subjects.

This is truly a tough one, two vastly different subjects. One that is totally out there as far as subject and color and one that is gritty and realistic. Thank you both for submitting.
