Title: Swashbuckling or Fantasy?
Post by: Mocaiv on April 30, 2008, 07:44:00 PM
Where is the division between Swashbuckling and Fantasy?

I came to this section of Lead Adventure because I want to discuss ships and I could get some ideas and share mine. The ships I want to build are for fantasy games so should I be posting in the fantasy forum?

Most of the shipbuilders are here, so I think you're okay to ask here.

Shipbuilders are here.

Good deal.

I made a ship which I hope my group will use for our Pirate adventures.

It's merely in WIP stage now. I'll tone down the colors a bit more.

I have plans for swivel guns, cannons, binacle, ship's wheel, anchor, a bit of basic rigging, and a jack for the Jolly Roger.

I have the fighting 'tops' ready just not applied yet.

T'isn't a 'model'--just a gaming prop made with the old Mark II eyeball,no plans. Heh, but it came out fairly symetrical.

Don't see any harm in posting both here and in the Fantasy forum.  There are ships to look at in Workbench forum also.  That's a good place to discuss materials and building in general.  You might see interesting ships and boats in the Other Adventures forum if you look back far enough in time.
