Title: 28mm Empress Apache crew

Hey all,

I've started work on these Empress figures for a downed pilot rescue scenario at the club using Skirmish Sangin....Thought I'd share  :D

Great job on the skin and a very appropriate choice of colour for the hair  ;)

Thanks for the comments lads! Something about ginger hair on a Brit helicopter pilot seemed appropriate!

Very nice work on the faces.
The one with the pistol looks really pissed off to be on the ground.

Some more work done -

The camo is just blocked in at this point...the panels all need to be outlined, the individual colours need to be highlighted and shaded, and a wash applied to tie it all together....

This "camo-thing" is starting to be madness...each new attempt improves the previous...really nice. What is the base colour?

I think the base colour is VJ Khaki, then I put largish splotches of that, mixd with PA British Tank Crew, then US Dark Green, then Chocolatre brown, then light sand (i think)...I'll have to check the workbench, as they're all out in a row.

Youngest daughter and I have same minis to match Revell 1/48th Apache model. Can't wait to tell Prince Harry when she marries him...

Harry's coming soon :) I figured do one, make sure the plan for the camo works, then move onto the others. I have 2 sections of Paras to paint up in the same camo as well...I'm pleased...it's not quite MTP, but it looks like it anyways!

Finished his co-pilot - same recipe as the other, though I'm not quite as pleased with the camo on him...it's a learning curve :)
