While we're on it. I have forgotten the name of that book, y'all know the one...that book, about the Sino-French War that comes up from time to time.

For what it's worth, the above tome is excellent and full of pictures.

And yes, the Heath volume's indispensable, and will save you much time and agony.

Thanks to all. I know about this book, but the possibility to buy it I have not. I know that the illustrations of it are based on historical lithographs. Do not tell me where to find them?
