More Pics of these Hero you can see on my blog (http://wuerfelsindgefallen.blogspot.co.at/2013/06/erste-figur-fur-meine-dux-britanniarum.html).
i have decide to make my list from Musketeer Miniatures from Bill T. I like his Miniatures, and they are very nice to paint. One question, on the pic for RB-01 Late Roman Infantry Command on the website from musketeer there are no shields. Does anyone know if there are shield part of the blister or not? or should i order the shield separatly.

Bloody hell that's some start you've made there! :o
Your army is going to put your opponent in some SERIOUS shade when you've got it done. Please keep posting.

Stunning paint job - and a great choice of figures to use for your army
-
An impressive start, this promices a lovely war band to follow!
-
@Raif
All the Musketeer packs come with -oval-shields. You can order additional packs of Musketeer shields too. Very handy for converting for example the GB plastic Dark Age warriors to Late Roman/Arthurian levy.
And yes, they are beautiful figures and I'm sure you're army will be stunning!

:-*Lovely brushwork!

Promising start :-*
cheers

Lovely figure. Great paintwork :)

The Hero is finished - the Base is complete. Also for the two normans - which stay for weeks on my table - i made the bases.

i only found shieldtransfers from lbms. but the problem is, all of us, which will not paint a lot of shields have to use this - perfect made - transfers. so i looked for a alternative on the web and found www.schieldschmie.de - a little shop which make decals and flags for 1/72, 15mm and 28mm historical and fantasy, like games workshop.
they had some decals for round shield for musketeer miniatures arthurians, but not for the, i will use, oval shields. so i sent maik from the shop a email, if he would do a customize job. and, what shall i say, he did! i made a little sketch.
the new decals, i have already got, will be in two variants (http://wuerfelsindgefallen.blogspot.co.at/2013/11/maik-von-schildschmiedede-macht-mir.html). a clean on and one with fighting marks.

Lovely stuff, and a very useful link to the custom decal maker. It is possible to make your own, if you have the time and the inclination, but your route has to be easier!

After two nobles, it was time to start painting the core-units. the first two figures are for the elite unit.

much more pictures (http://wuerfelsindgefallen.blogspot.co.at/2013/12/die-zwei-ersten-krieger-meiner.html) - the two guys with the shields from schildschmie.de - you can find on my blog.
here (http://wuerfelsindgefallen.blogspot.co.at/2013/12/die-schildschmiede-decals-in-der-praxis.html) you can have a detail look to the two shields with the decals and the painting to finish the shields.

Oh those are REALLY good. Can I recruit them instead of the ones I'm painting myself? lol
Thanks for posting,

Raif,
You just made my day. Not only two extremely beautiful models but also the living proof that I'm not the only one that drills out the Musketeer hands- very carefuly- and uses the Gripping Beast cast spears.

Yesterday, i painted the champion of my tribun. i choosed darker colors, tried me the first time on painting black.

Coming on a treat.
The problem is, every time I check your progress, I remind myself that I have about 50 of these Musketeer early Saxon and Romano-Brit figures still sitting in their bags - and about 150 other assorted figures ahead of them in the painting queue... ::)
So viewing your lovely work is a bit of a painful pleasure... :)

I've got two complete warbands I was really, really pleased with until people started posting pictures of this quality of Musketeer's products... :'(

Ditto. These are excellent figures - again. :( I wish I had your ability with the paintbrush, it puts my painting into League 2 (or worse). ;)

Wonderful stuff. I'm really looking forward to doing some post Roman British SAGA armies in due course too.
