Title: Dwarves from Middle-earth - new pics 2013-09-28

Well, I've started on the dwarves from the Hobbit in earnest... and it has inspired me to paint up some older Lord of the Rings figs as well.

First up are Gloin and Gimli!

The Dwarven Guys look WONDERFUL...nice color choices & brushwork. The fact that they inspired you to continue your Journey through Middle Earth, so to speak, adds to the "wonderful" factor. Keep up the FINE WORK!

Thanks for the kind words guys, appreciated.

As for presentation, I think I have to up my game! I was most impressed by Frank's presentation for his LotR SAGA (http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55349.0) stuff. It looks like he shoots from a lower angle (more straight on, less from above) and also puts static grass down in front of the bases to make the scenes more convincing...

Lovely brush work - I especially like the little touches like the pipework/stripes down the sleeves - they really add character to the minis.

Stunning brushwork as always!
