Title: Grimm, Driscoles, Prof. Witchheimers scenery?
Post by: Conquest on November 07, 2006, 02:12:08 AM
In a lot of the photos I've seen from you guys, I notice what looks like real trees, or branches with lots of vines crawling all over them.

What types of trees are you guys using for this?

I've used driftwood before that looks similar but these are much better.

Thanks,

-Eric

Hello Conquest,

for the games we played together we used Grimms Jungle Terrain. He can tell you whats made off.

The stuff I use when Grimms not available is twiggs from real trees and Model trees from all kinds of producer and aquarium plants.

We all use little goodies from grendel or Ziterdes for Ruins and other scenery. Some is also  scratchbuild.

Cheers
Björn

Hello Eric ,
I happy that you like my Terrain   :)

the Trees are made out of  branches from Wood .
I use mosty for the Big ones  ,dead Bonzai trees or pieces of beech hedge ,
for the smaler one I use root from smal bushes.
I cover all up with foliage networks from train shops .
liana ´s are made from foliage wire you can find it in shops for plastik flowers .

If you hant I can make some Pictures for you .

But I have also a question were did you get the birch trees on your `Last of the M. `` tabele ?

Cheers Grimm

Thanks Grimm, that would be much appreciated.

The birch trees are from Lemax and I bought them at Michaels arts and crafts here in the States.

They are available during Christmas for abot $15.00 for a set of 10 I think. each stand comes on an individual base with about 3-4 trees on it. They are just paper wrapped around wire with black lines painted on.

I always thought they looked bad in the package, but once I put them on the table, they look really great.

I usually buy them after Christmas when they go on 50% discount.

Look up Lemax and you should find a distributor in your area, if not, I could probably get some for you. (I have about 6 packs of them stored up as it is!
