No I haven't posted in the wrong forum........this is purely historical, rather than my normal "Weird" take on things!!! ( That's not to say it won't be used for Weird War gaming!!)

Any how, I've got quite a collection of unpainted WW2 vehicles and minis and I've had this 1:48 Tamiya SU122 kicking around for a while.

Really nice, but i'd doubt it's just a tanko destroyka. more a "everything destroyka" ;)

PMN, about the weathering: do you apply the dark brown on the white or vice versa?

Hammershield: I always build up my stuff "Clean" to start with and then weather it afterwards ( applying scuffs and rust last).

This has always been my favorite Soviet assault gun, and the winter white my favorite camo (because it gets so dirty). So well done!  8)

Assault guns are so much blasted fun.

Is that 'strippling' effect I see on the shading / white camo? Just wondering....

Another work of art, I've now run out of ways to praise your work. Plus I know how hard it is to get them to look that good.
   There's not enough years left for me to have enough painting lesson from you, to get results like that.

P.S. Gotta be nice as PM's commandeered one of my steam tanks. It's all a trick to subtly convert him to V.S.F.  lol lol

Tamiya's 1/48s are very nice but rediculously expensive. That die cast lower hulk which is part of most kits really muct jack up the prices.
