Ok, ok, so maybe I've stretched myself a bit thin. An Army Painter thread, the Trojan War, getting married in 21 days... :o
But my favorite thing to paint is still gladiators! The painted contents of my Ludus:

Tons left to paint still, mostly guards, guys in togas, slaves, Roman ladies lounging, that sort of thing...I still have 2 unused Arenas from Playmobil, the full AND the half sized, but they are probably getting sold off to buy the MDF one from Hurbat (spectator seating!).
Got RSBS for rules, but they are a bit dry, to put it mildly. Great campaign system, but combat is a kind of a non-event.
Enter Furt, his fine rules, and my offer to playtest! I did this today while my darling bride was off at a fitting:

Homemade gear, playtesting to begin tomorrow! A read-through makes me believe this is a winner...

Good looking stuff...and I wanna play! (and/or playtest...) lol I'm just now beginning to paint my gladiators.

Show us more, sir.
That 'smear' looks great!
:o :-* :o

Woah! That is a lot of gladiators, considering you only need two at a time lol Well done, sir.
(And good fortune and happiness for your marriage)

Wow - that sure is a decent ludus. I wouldn't mind a few close ups of those. There seems to be a gorilla gladiator down the back.
Love the effort you went to making those dice and counters!
Now if you can just convince the bride to have a few games over the honeymoon, we're set. lol

My Partner is a good sport. She's printing off the counters for me in colour and agreed to have a game or two over the weekend.
Mind you, i think she'd fancy her chances with a Gladius anyway as she trialled for Gladiators as a contestant back in the day
[visions of Raven coming back ...]

The gorilla is for a beast hunt, the only animal I've managed to paint up so far. Four lions are waiting in the works. Anyone know where to get a good ostrich?
