Title: Inso's Reptiliad project
Post by: Inso on July 13, 2013, 04:04:59 PM
As part of a complete change of direction, I have started a new blog called Reptiliad. It is a continent that is filled with Dragons:

http://reptiliad.blogspot.co.uk/

I kicked off a thread that has quickly turned into a resource for cool Dragons:

http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=55390.0

And the blog is not going to have WIP or much of a miniature/hobby theme to it so I decided to start a thread that covers the model making side of things. I am in the process of basing this fellow:

But in the meantime, Simon 'The Pious' sets off for his next banishment... the Great Wyrm of Spring-Tide Forest:

You know I don't think I've ever seen a painted version of that steampunk hero. Looks good from the back.. Hint hint.

Nice Dragon Slayers. Looking forward to seeing the big beastie painted up and based.  :D

I really like that dragon - where did you get it and the 'oval' display base from?

I got the Dragon from here:

I got the base from here:

The rocks on the base are all Green stuff and scatter :)

I will be adding a bit of a story later so it will be worth popping along to have a look.

I have also got some holiday coming up over the next few weeks so expect to see a few more updates in the blog.

...and it seems that a small order I made for some Reaper miniatures has been dispatched so I may be able to crack on with a few interesting little miniatures.

Love Warmachine dwarves so any project using them gets a thumbs up from me.

Also there are some great dragons out there, so this should be a nice bit of eye candy :).

Interesting little dude :) I own Travelling Court of the Brownie King by Hasslefree, by the same sculptor I think.

I haven't painted him yet- still trying to work out how to run optical fibres up to the windows. Maybe there's a place for him in your world too.

Yep, Mike Thorpe did the Court as well as the Twilight range :).

Now that I am back from my holiday, I hope to get some more painting done on my Mhurni/Dhurni miniatures so hopefully, there should be some more eye candy by next weekend.

I have a Mhurni soldier who has been basecoated and washed ready for the highlights and an assembled Hasslefree Dwarf that has been primed and is in the process of being basecoated.

BUT the main news is that I now have 5 boxed Mirliton dragons sitting on the table so I reckon I'll be doing a bit of unpacking later :D

That brings the current dragon total up to seven :)

... did I mention that I had ordered a second Reaper dragon that arrived a couple of weeks ago? I must have forgotten :)

You can't have a land of Dragons without them...

Cheers :). It is a great little distraction from the 20+ years of sci-fi I have been ticking along with.

There's more info here with pics from all angles:
