Oooo, shiney and new! :-*
I've only had a quick look about but I spotted that long images seem to be chopped off to the width of the board. Anyway to get around this?
no new smilies? >:(
The Supporting Member medals seem to have gone away?
Pity, I didn't get to enjoy mine for very long. :D
I like all of the new features, but I think that the actual forum layout needs some getting used to. I can't see where there's new posts and where there's nothing.
Looks good. I'm not so sure about the title "child boards" though. Might earn some unwanted attention from the Feds (that's the Federal Bureau of Investigation, or FBI, to youse outside the USA).

Apart from that you can see it in your user stat on the left side of the forum - Show unread
child board isn't my term, that's a system feature of the software, every SimpleMachines board of this world has child boards, so Feds have a lot of work. As far as I know it's even a common term and other public board software manufacturer are using it too.

I agree that the new board looks great, and I can't wait to explore the new features.
But I also concur that the new "New Posts" symbol isn't easily distinguishable from the "No New Posts" symbol. Especially to these rapidly aging eyes.
Did you consider other background colour combinations?
I like the new banner but I am missing a reference to the one thing which ties all this topics together - the lead miniature.
Did you consider other background colour combinations?
actually not but if it would turn out as difficult to read so of course I will consider some changes on the darker topic background
Chess. When one of my friends heard I've put a Chess feature to the forum, he said, we dont need stuff like this. Who knows, perhaps he's right and we really don't. But I would like to try this. I like chess and would like to play it regularly. So maybe someone from the forum likes chess too and we could play some games. I'm not a good chess player but that doesn't matter, only fun matters. Btw, you don't need to be a supporting member to play chess
better?

Not in Firefox (and on my monitor), unfortunately. They still look almost identical to me. There needs to be much more difference between them for it to be a useful feature. Maybe it's just my eyes?
Im to stupid to challange some one in the Chesspart, i insert the name and than what.. ?
Actually, looking at the main page I can see the difference now. But it still could do with being much more marked. Two completely different colours, perhaps?

Not much better, I'm afraid. I forced Firefox to reload the whole page from your server, and while the two different shades of green are slightly different, it's very, very slight still.
Could you make the "New Posts" one the same much paler green/khaki that's used for the alternate posts in the forum? There's a decent contrast there.
now whos for a game of chess?
I really like the new forum Alex...
Would really like to see the painted LAF figure slapped up somewhere... even if it is only in the Gallery.
BTW... when are we going to be able to get our hands on that figure? ;)
Alex can we still see the location of the member? I really liked that feature so I hope so... it was cool
seeing how we are such a global community.
This new forum is probably more practicable but, after one week of use, I don't love this new design (I prefer realy much the old one ;) ).
Sorry.
Stéphane

no need to sorry, Stéphane, it's allright! I wasn't hoping everyone would love the new one. I just hope you don't leave us :)
