@fastolfrus - Edinburgh has loads of hotels, some cheap, some, not so cheap.

The big problem is that the Edinburgh Festival (a month of hell for those of us who work there) starts that weekend, so trying to find somewhere that isn't booked up will be difficult.

If you stick "Edinburgh Hotels" into Google, you'll get plenty of choices.
