Anyone ordered from them lately? Placed an order over a fortnight ago, nothing yet, sent an e-mail, no reply yet. Not panicking, but ordered from them before and had a fairly quick turnaround.
I know Jo posts on here occasionally, but hadn't seen anything from her lately. It's probably something fairly trivial, holiday, too hot for casting etc.
Just thought I'd ask before sending another e-mail (don't want to keep pestering them)... :?

I'm in a similar situation - so it's not just you.
When I ordered earlier in the year there was take of illness and computer problems, so I forgave a delay of *a month* before my order was dispatched. I'll wait and see what happens with this order before deciding whether to deal with them again...

Ok. That was over 2 months ago. If it had been an on-going issue a note to say that they're experiencing delays would've been nice.
I'll give it a bit longer before chasing the order up again.

Delays are always annoying and no replies to emails too.
That said, I wouldn't worry about not getting an order. Black Cat Bases has always had a great reputation for the best custumor service and integrity.
I am sure there is a perfectly good reason for any delays but I understand the frustration.
Hopefully everything will be resolved. I have only had good experiences with Black Cat and would be very sad to see anything bad happen for such a great company.

Placed an order on the second of june and still waiting on my order as well. My first experience with them was great so I have been giving them extra time...that said, hope I see it soon.need to finish up my gangs..

I can conform they've been having computer and health problems, but are still very much in business. Get well soon, chaps.

As said I've previously dealt with them, hence the surprise at the delay of my order and no reply to e-mail.

There's a notice gone up on the front page of the Black cat site saying that they are trying to get through the backlog of orders as quick as they can.

I placed an order two months ago. Nothing had turned up after a month so I e-mailed, then e-mailed again, then phoned and texted, no response. About a ten days ago I had a reply from Jo to say they had had issues and would be sorting out back orders. Still waiting mind you. First order with Black Cat Bases, so was starting to get nervous particularly since I had only heard good about them. So now I'm just being patient. :)

To be honest, this does sound concerning and all. But still considering the past reputation (and my experience) of Black Cat. I would not consider any money lost just yet. Hopefully everything will be resolved soon though as this is clearly not good for anyone who still needs lead and replies to mail and I would think it might damage the company in the end too.
I must admit this company really is one of those I have great faith in still.
It would be very nice to hear from anyone who has insight.
There is still loads of things I would want to order from them, but I am reluctant to do it at present.

Just had an e-mail from Jo to say my order has been dispatched. Also got a note apologising for the delay. Sounds like they've had a rough run of it the last couple of months.

I too recieved a email, after waiting over a month for some kind of a response. Said They would ship it out on the following tuesday. That was about 3 weeks ago. Still no order. Now I am sympathetic to the health and computer issues they are experiencing, However I feel I have been patient for long enough. I sent them a text last night as per their contact info on the site, still no response... :(

Hi,
I apologise for the delay on dispatch of orders, this has been due to ill health. Also our internet has been down for a long period of time and so I have been unable to access anything! Now that I am on holiday from my other jobs I will be making and dispatching all outstanding orders this week and dispatching them. We would like to thank everyone for their patience whilst we have had problems. Once these have been cleared normal service will be resumed but please be aware at the moment it may take 2 weeks to dispatch any new orders placed. Ben is sadly no better, thanks to everyone who has sent us messages whilst he has been ill.

Received my order today. I'd placed the order on the 9/7/13 if that's of any help, so just over a month.
Will order again as there's some other stuff I need off their site. :)

I recieved my order today. So I guess they are working their way through back orders.

Placed an order July the 9th, received it today (August the 20th).
Bear in mind that in my account it shows as "processing". I guess they're so busy sending orders they waste no time updating the status.

Still have not received my order, And I don't know what else to do..Can't or won't respond to my emails...at a loss what else I can do...guess that is money just gone.

I think you just need to be patient. I got my order and a week later I got an email from them that my order had been processed.
Seems that they are working their way through back orders.

Wow, 3 months! You folks are alot more patient than I. I'd have reversed the charges a month ago.
Does cause one to wonder though. At what point do we expect a company to stop taking orders when things get too backlogged? I recall that GZG has done this a few times for shows and such. When they can't fulfill new orders they let their customers know and stop taking new ones. I really appreciate a company that does this rather than accepting orders that can't be fulfilled in a months time.
On the other hand it seems that we view (and rightfully so) small mom-and-pop producers as part of our hobby community. We want to be patient when sickness or other difficulty strikes, so we accept long delays, etc. as we know that it is in difficulty that $ is most needed. Hard to know where to draw the line.

Odd. I've always had superior service from Black Cat. Something must be very wrong.

Ok, after close to 4 months I have given up being a nice guy, just want a refund and will warn every one who will listen, Of this fiasco I've been put thru. Only recourse I feel I have Left. >:(
