Title: Seated 28mm Brits or Germans for vehicles ?
Post by: bobblezbob on July 27, 2013, 04:24:48 PM
Does anyone make 28mm seated figures for vehicles ?
I've got the Empress Miniatures pack of generic(ish) figures but theres only a couple of them that are useable at a push. I've aquired some nice Matchbox Models of Yesteryear vehicles and would like to have some drivers or even seated troops being transported to the Front.

Thanks in advance.

Grand Manner was kind enough to sell me some of these drivers:

Company B have some:

Dixon have seated gangsters that are useful

I also use seated artillery miniatures from Old Glory

Thanks traveller.
I'm after figures specific to WW1 and I think Old Glory might be the way to go (though they might be a bit small in comparision to the Great War Miniatures figures I've got - there again I supose I could use GWM's range of artillery figures !).  ::)

The Grand Manner driver is actually a GWM miniature. For WW1 Germans I use WW2 seated minis with a headswap

How do the Empress figures match up size wise with the Yesteryear vehicles? I've been looking at buying some but wasn't sure about the fit.

Just John, the Empress figures are a good fit for the Matchbox vehicles.
traveller, good thinking, I'll have to get me some Woodbine heads.

Actually, it is almost impossible to tell the uniform, except the head, on a seated miniature, so you can use anything seated in 20th century uniform  ;)

I've done seated figures for the 1st corps miniatures ww1 vehicles range there are four drivers and a set of bus passengers. If its german crews then they are mastered but not moulded as no has asked for them.A german lorry and crew will be ready by the end of the month.an A7V Gelandwagen is not far behind as ive just the crew to make.

The Tradition figs (actually 30mm Clive Night figs) have a nice selection of British, German and French seated figs and drivers.
