Have not seen this posted elsewhere yet, but Bob Murch has pics up of two interesting detectives at his Pulp Figures site: http://pulpfigures.com/work_bench/ (http://pulpfigures.com/work_bench/)

Could probably use the dude as a Lord Carnarvon of Tut fame. He does look like he has a distinct cultural background but paint can modify a mini in several ways. As for the woman the jury is still out. Bob usually puts 5 in a bag, wonder what the others are going to look like ?
-
Prof.,
I've been wondering what the other minis will be myself. I'm hoping for more detectives, perhaps an overweight armchair detective genius who loves beer and his streetsmart assistant, or perhaps a gentleman sleuth with a former burglar as his manservant, or perhaps a former private eye and his wealthy wife, or perhaps a detective novelist who assists his police detective father in solving crimes.
Best wishes,
Aaron Malchow

I'm more treasure hunter\archaeologist aligned. Crime doesn't play a big part in my games except when the natives ask "Who stole the gold fertility idol from the temple? lol
-
Welcome additions for sure. Who would have thought only a few years back that there would not only be sculpts of these but various renditions. I for one am not complaining.
-
No doubt a set of detectives if these two are anything to go by: Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot.
-
Lovely...
I'm hoping, at last to get a spot on Miss Lemon, Japp and Hastings (perhaps touching 80 on the Hog's Back in his sports car)

I'll vote for that!
-
Not Hercule Poirot and not Miss Marple?
-
Murch has posted an update, identifying the sculpts as "Drawing Room Detectives." I have high hopes for this set.
Also, he has included another pic, this time of a Masked Avenger!
Best,
Aaron Malchow
-
Dammit, I could use her right now.
(In a game that is, I'm painting up a bunch of masked women)
-
Hopefully the Masked Avenger means that he's sculpting new versions of his Agents of Justice!
-
I like that Masked Avenger! :-* :-*

I hope you are going to use WK's masked Nun!
-
Great minis.
-
Where does she keep that pistol?
-
I think that there's some kind of rule that says Pulp heroines have to keep their weapons tucked into their suspender belt?
-
Not Hercule Poirot and not Miss Marple?
Margaret Rutherford, no doubt! The other one could easily be HP.
-

Maybe… the new film director would indicate that he’s planning on redoing the Film Set Crew too… :D
-
Schogun:
Murch is indeed a fan of Rutherford, from what he's mentioned before.
Calimero:
I think your (and my) hopes will be answered. Murch has mentioned in secret, encrypted communiques that he is redoing the Film Set crew.
I'll be happy with a redo of the Agents of Justice set, as I have pipe dreams of someday seeing a sculpt of a crusading newspaper publisher who hunts crime as a masked vigilante, accompanied by a sculpt of his trusty manservant. But who knows what sculpts lurk in the heart of Murch?
Best wishes,
Aaron Malchow

Bob strikes again! :-*
-
With the masked woman I'm sensing a Fu Manchu addition as just one of the many possibilities. ;)
-
Does anybody in the uk stock bobs minis ?.. also what rules is everybody using I've still got bobs rugged rules..

Not sure about the minis being anywhere other then Canada.
As for rules, the most popular here is : Pulp Alley. Search it here and you'll find lot's to consider.
-
I like that masked lady. As always Mr Murch has again nailed the pulp ethos.
-
I think the masked lady would definitely pass as Domino Lady, even without a cape.

Pulp Figures are available in Europe from Miniaturicum, see link at the bottom of the page.
As for rules, try Pulp Alley, I'm loving these rules!

Murch has updated his Pulp Figures Work Bench again -- http://pulpfigures.com/work_bench/ (http://pulpfigures.com/work_bench/) -- showing two more wonderful minis for the upcoming Drawing Room Detectives and Masked Avengers sets:
Best,
Aaron Malchow

Charlie Chan :-* now that, is a must have
-
:-* :-* on both.
-
Oh, very nice!
-
Bob Murch just posted an update, showing the rest of the film crew.

:-* Love them all...
-
Love all his stuff but its a pain in the arse getting it from Canada!!

Really? I've ordered three times with no hassle (nor customs thankfully!). It takes some time, but I imagine has to be transported from the remote cottage in deep Klondike across the vast tundra ;)
-
My last two orders I had sent to my hotel in the US without a problem.... :D

Then buy it from Miniaturicum: http://www.miniaturicum.de/index.php?infoBox=0&cPath=730

Mr. Murch amazes again! Great stuff. :)

And yet another update, with a duo of crime fighters I have been waiting quite a long time to see sculpted.

Dear Lord that is so bought!
-
Seconded. I must have those two. :o
-
Yes, indeed! We've been waiting for these for a long time. ;D

Green Hornet?
-
I must have them all !!!
did someone know when they will be available ?
Grimm
-
I too have been waiting for the Green Hornet and Kato for a long time. This is definitely a must-have! :-*
-
I'm lol lol lol at all the :-* :-* :-*
We're all still like 'skool' kids and proud of it. lol
-
Grimm,
Murch just indicated that the minis will be part of an release scheduled for this month.
Best,
Aaron Malchow

Murch has provided another update, with a pic of a new mini on the front page of his site -- http://pulpfigures.com (http://pulpfigures.com) -- but this will be a limited time offer, which he will apparently add free with orders that include both the new Film Crew and Masked Avengers sets, when they are released, as long as supplies last of the mini.
Best,

Oh fun, more fencers!
I really like Bob's use of steel needles as sword blades, as he did with the female fencer in his Russian Exiles pack. They make for much, much more elegant rapier blades than white metal ever could! (and if you drag a file up and down the tip a few times, it gets a whole lot safer to handle...)
I've got more unpainted Pulp Figures stuff than I care to admit, so I likely won't be doing the two pack plus bonus figure thing, but I'll point it out to a friend who we've just lured into pulp madness...

You could sell some to me, you know... ::)
-
This looks like a must have for my black and white Zorro project. :-*
-
Does the man have no shame, tempting me like this? :o

Yep, He's a cracker :)
-
I've delayed the release of the Drawing Room detectives somewhat as I'm still trying to decide if side-kicks are warranted. I did up Number 1 Son for Detective Chin.
-
Very nice! Chin can't go anywhere without number 1 son tagging along.
-Mila
-
Great additions Bob!
LB
-
Love it.
-
Bob, whatever the final composition of the Drawing Room Detectives pack turns out to be, I'm buying it, but my preference would be that the fifth figure be a detective such as Lord Peter Wimsey for example and that you create a separate side-kick pack with #1 son, Bunter (for Wimsey), Captain Hastings and/or Chief Inspector Japp (for Poirot) and a couple others as needed. But as I said above, I'm onboard whatever you do with this figure group. Richard

A very good idea!
Having a set of sidekicks and possibly secretaries and assistants will be a nice addition ...
-
Bob,
Love the idea of the sidekicks, and I hope you pursue sculpting them.
Best,
Aaron Malchow
-
The sidekicks would be great, especially if one is using the figs for Pulp Alley leagues, where a whole group is themed around the main character!
-
My Number One Daughter tells me these are a must-have for our Pulp Alley games. :D
-
I thought so!
-
Oh man, imagine a Sam Spade's secretary type, dispassionately filing her nails. lol
