Title: Barbary Pirates
Post by: thebunkergames on August 26, 2013, 11:43:26 AM
Hi Gents
I am after some Barbary Pirates in 25/8mm - have you any ranges in mind that would fit with Copplestone figs?
Regards
Shaun

I have both ranges and they go well together. I also use Brigade Napoleonic Ottomans (by Hicks), some Copplestone Darkest Africa Arabs and some Old Glory arabs. There are plenty that can apply for the dirty work of a Barbary Pirate  ;)

There are a few figures in the Foundery pirate range. Also the Baluchis in Arab dress work really well to.

Thanks Gents

HerbyF - I am using the Arab Baluchis - which Foundry pirates do you mean?(I really should know this!)

The Foundry Pirates might not be a good source as there are only one or two figures in a pack of six. Unless you want the other pirates it's probably not worth it. Turkish azabs make good subs for Barbary pirates too.

I have also found a number of suitable figures in various fantasy lines. Reaper has several Arab thief/pirate figures in some of their lines. http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/14388 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/14388)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/14314 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/14314)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/06174 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Warlord/latest/06174)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/03637 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/03637)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02297 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02297)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02439 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02439)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02447 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02447)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02396 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02396)http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02388 (http://www.reapermini.com/Miniatures/Dark%20Heaven%20Legends/latest/02388)
