Title: Kuminaijan - A New Modern Imagi-Nation!
Post by: sackofmonkeys on August 29, 2013, 07:27:45 PM
I've just started a new blog which will chart events in a small mountainous post-Soviet state in the South Caucasus. To keep it manageable, the intention is for the various combatants to be depicted in 6mm / 1:300 / 1:285 scale and for battles to be fought using Force on Force.

For more details of the country, its geography and its various combatants check out: http://kuminaijan.blogspot.co.uk/

Looks interesting - make sure to feed us eye candy too.

Regarding basing, will the infantry be singlely-based or multi-based?

Hi Von Lucky, painted miniature eye candy will take a little time but it's on its way.

With the possible exceptions of medics, snipers and possibly characters (in-game objectives), figures will be based in fire teams and weapon squads of 3-4.

I look forward with interest to your further posts. Will you be using a separate campaign system to manage the conflict (sorry not familiar with FoF)?

Cheers

Hi Dickie255, FoF has a good campaign system for developing a platoon-sized force and its support elements over a series of linked engagements. I may use this or I may just game particular small scale engagements that seem interesting. I haven't yet decided the extent to which events on the gaming table will influence the 'meta' narrative of the Imagi-Nation, but I have a general idea of how I'd like things to develop.

When I see stuff like this I always feel a small amount of pity for the 6th grade student somewhere who is assigned a report on a foreign country...and he stumbles upon an Imagination based page... lol
