Really nice!
-
Stunning!!! Finally something different! :)
-
Very nice. Would like to see some closed face helmets or aventail masks on future models.

Closed faced helmets? Did they wear such a thing?

The heavy cav would have often been comprised of Turco-mongols, so I guess not Technically "pure" Mongol troops, but they were a hodge podge army anyway. I think also the nobles would have taken the best and most impressive armor available, including stuff captured from Turco-Mongol tribes just like they did with Chinese silk. Besides, the armor looks cool! :D If I could figure out how to upload an image, I could show you some of Gorelik's watercolors of Turco-mongol troops and Mongol nobles in similar gear.
Here you go, I found something already posted on the web (click)

So by close faced helmets you mean a helmet with a scale aventail and/or a mail avantail?
I agree, it does look great, I once painted up a large number of Timurids and Medieval Rus for Gripping Beast that were very similar to the drawing.
Darrell.

Yes indeedy. Sorry--my terminology isn't an expert's ;)
Actually your friends over at Gripping Beast have a few heavy cav in their Mongol range like that, but I bet Fireforge's would look equally grand ;D

Very nice. When will the plastic horde be available?

Might be a daft question but can I ask what sort of timeline these are for?
cheers

Nice but surely these would have been more suitable to plastic?

Look like they'll work for Mongol Conquest through to the Ilkhanate, Golden Shower etc. ;)
