Title: FIW and Black Powder
Post by: joroas on September 07, 2013, 08:37:59 AM
So, having just visited Eastern Canada and played an 1812 game at Dave Bickley's, I had a hankering to do this for Black Powder.  However, fate intervened in my buying, on impulse, 4 regiments each side and a gun for the FIW.  I already have enough unpainted figures from North star for M&T. So well on my way to two armies.

I am unsure of basing, my instinct is to base them on pennies and use the Warbases regular and irregular sabot bases, that way I am not tied to one specific base.

How have others done this?

My initial basing for AWI was four figures to a 40mm square, with occasionally three or two for the lighter battalions.

I know think I'm going to base everything on pennies and use my sabot bases for coherency  :)

That's kind of my current thought, then they can be used for skirmish as well.  :D
