Post by: Orctrader on September 08, 2013, 07:48:58 PM
Just saw this on Antiques Roadshow

http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p01g3y68

Not sure if people outside of the UK will be able to see it.

Just saw this myself! Loved the way he took them to his first posting in Burma! Obviously a true Wargamer!

Saw it as well. Great stuff.
He had a great big rule book, 1000 plus painted figs and real firing cannon.
Seems like he and his brother invented distance playing/play by mail.
Someones gotta record this and put it on youtube.

and after having the first possible wargaming army with book and photos its still only worth 3 to 5 quid a figure  lol

Haha!
Interesting figures tho' - I noticed the 1860's Kepi on some and highlanders with a yellow over striped kilt (Gordons?). Maybe some inspiration for Aly Morrison's Shiny Toy Soldiers :D
