If you haven’t seen Anpu’s awesome Fallout setting on the Post-Apocalyptic board, then go check them out, and see if you can spot the tiny Pulp Alley rulebook on one of the tables --  http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=24839.210

Some really excellent things going on there. I liked the junk raft particularly.

As to the miniature rule book, simply great idea. But what next, a Pulp Alley game going on inside a 28mm building?

THATS exactly what I was thinking. That would be funny, having a miniature wargame table as a piece of terrain for your wargame.  lol lol

Cool! :-* That must have taken a lot of time. How did you do your shark tank?

Guiscard shared a couple of his cool AAR's with us, so I got to pass them along. His awesome terrain, miniatues, and storyline are definitely worth checking out...

Course, about 1 in 100 games someone actually goes inside any of the buildings to see they have interiors modeled...

WOW! Your interior is awesome. How'd you do the front of the shop?

THANKS

The building itself is an O scale model that I purchased at Hobby Lobby when they were having a blow out clearance. I have three of them and did the bookstore, an arcade, and a music shop. Prep wise I took the entire building apart, breaking all the windows out and then I spray primed it white, washed it in a dark grey, then dry brushed the hell out of the brick work with like three different shades of red.

Putting together interiors and repainting all those O scale buildings took about a year. I meant to actually take pictures of each building's exterior and interior but just never got around to it.

Sorry I didn't reply before.  ::)

The general build thread is here:  http://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=24800.30

The tank is really just a simple box of foamed PVC (Foamex/Palite/similar) with clear plastic window and Perspex top (water surface).  The sharks are mounted on brass wire inserted into the base.  The wire was painted in the same pale blue as the walls of the tank to help it blend into the background.

Pulp Alley innnnnn SPAAAAAAAAACE...

Check out Maj Guiscard's cool battle report for a thrilling story, clever terrain, and excellent miniatures  --- http://govgensectorsix.blogspot.com/

An excerpt from Guiscard's blog --- "The excitement was aided by the fact that my guys were spread all over the asteroid, I hadn't deployed with just one objective in mind, so the rush to the middle was really suspenseful.  Also, lots of credit needs to be given to the game system.  Pulp Alley isn't a wargame, it's an ADVENTURE game. The options, cards, initiative all interplay so well that even though the game ended in an area the size of a closet, it was a nailbiter all the way."

prof D - why do you think there's all those great spaceman, space vixen, martian, barsoom figures?

and let's not forget some recent releases of undersea divers just in case you want to take you pulp underwater.

where CAN'T pulp alley go?

Good question  ;) I'm sure in the event of all future releases, if Dave forgets any, we're all be sure to let him know.  :)

Exactly what I've been thinking. We've even been using it for some Dr. Who games and all kinds of fun stuff.
