Title: Pound store find 28mm scale mech
Post by: Germy on September 17, 2013, 09:40:35 PM
Found this in the local 99p Store. Very simple model, lot of conversion potential to move it away from the obvious Gundam look and more Battletech.
It is 29cm high which makes it about 60ft tall for a 28mm mini. Which is perfect for Gundam.

The model has movable shoulder joints and knee joints. It's hollow plastic that you could cut easily with a craft knife.

Not sure of the practical wargaming application but that's never stopped me  8)

Man, robots are cool...I don't care who you are or what kinds you like (and I'm not a Gundam guy).

Definitely going to convert this to a more Battletech style. Off with the head and put in a chest based cockpit. Reduce the shoulder pads and I might even take the arms off at the elbow and add cannons like a Warhammer. Missile pods, hmmm wonder if GZG's 15mm stuff would work.  8)

I have to ask, is Poundland just filled with middle-aged men? :)
