Hello,

 if you are into gaming alternative history or what if scenarios , then how about a German invasion of  Austria in

 the 1930s ?

Interesting if you throw the Italians in on the side of Austria.

That was indeed Mussolini's thoughts on the matter and indeed the motivation behind the 1935 'Stresa Front' with Britain and France.

It would certainly be a more 'even' war than the real one, as the German military was in a shocking state until the late 1930s.

Might be able to use WW1 Austrian troops from the look of things.
