Need some links chaps on where to purchase 28mm VTOLs please. Any size will do as long as it's 28mm.
Figure access not necessary but separate engines are preferable :)
cheers

A few years ago I got TheGreatQueeg to convert the Nitto SF3D Maschinen Kruger Fledermaus kit to take 28mm pilots. Still my favourite take

The Avengers' Quinjet toy would make a great one, if you are looking for a troop transport.
You could probably add some weapons to it as well, if desired.
It's very reasonably priced for such a big toy.

There's an Argos link (via E-Bay) in amongst the other links above... currently £12.99. Here are some pix with a Grymn (28mm space dwarf):

With a few minor modifications, it is perfect :)

Although the shop still isn't open you can still get the Old Crow dropship if you email and don't mind a bit of a wait.

Quinjet is a bit on the large size for my purposes (I know I said any size lol ).
I suppose, thinking about it ones with rotating engines on the side much like the Antenocites one would fit the bill.
Thanks for all the effort chaps, greatly appreciated :)

Got that one already bookmarked ;)
It's for my sloooow Akira project and I just want to compare designs first and see what hasn't been done yet to see if it's viable to scratch one or just buy.
I'll be looking for a tank or two but I'm pretty sure where I'm getting them from (Pig Iron).

Ahhhh. I did think it was an interesting diversion for you to do sci-fi and not something Japanese... but you're actually doing something Japanese.

Can highly rate the pig iron tank...I have one and it's a beast

Vertical take off and land: I don't think those pig iron apcs are gonna get much vertical lift! ;)

Silly boy ;D

You could always build your own. Knowing your skills you'll produce something much better than my attempt. :D

GI Joe Toys would size nicely I believe and available on ebay. Ones with side engines:
Black Dragon:

Ghost Hawk II

Thanks again chaps :)
Building my own might be an option if what I'm looking for isn't already out there (which is strongly looking the case).

Just for completeness - 'cause it's flippin' expensive - this just popped up on StarShip modeller 1:72 Quinjet (http://fantastic-plastic.com/AvengersQuinjetCatalogPage.htm)
However, at $135, it's too rich for my blood (and probably too small at 1:72) :-[
