You're up early  ;)

I honestly never thought of large, modular cliffs before  8)

I think this idea is getting pinched  ;) How much was the back as the last time I was in Pets at Home (albeit several years ago) it was got g for about nine quid a peice...

cheers

There is an online reptile store in Germany that sells it for a better price, which is where I got my last bits from. The problem is you can't pick the bits obviously.

For my big cliffs I've been experimenting with furniture foam... mixed results.

Wow...quite the build! Hope you have a good place to store it...haha! I still haven't stored the cliff sections I built awhile back. They're just sitting in a spare room in cloth bags...

I'm eager to see the finished product!  Never thought of using cork, just foam.   :)

So, will you tell us what words escaped your mouth when you came back in and first saw it...?  :o :o

Did the foam adhere to the cork tightly? Your idea of using it in a mold would mean it would have to pop out relatively easily, I would think....

Nice recovery, by the way. Looking good!

You should see the mess that stuff made in my kitchen when I used it to fill a gap! I know it's 'expanding' foam but you don't expect it to expand at the rate of early 19th century France. I was going to suggest using it sparsely when you mentioned you were going to use it, but thought 'nah he'll have done it loads of times'. Sorry!

Coming along very nicely; at least the expanding foam cuts easily enough when dry!

BTW, you've got a typo in your URL above, a comma instead of a period. It's also usually a good idea to link directly to the post instead of just to the front page of your blog, as your hill articles will eventually move off the front page.
