Forgive me if this is in the wrong place but it is a terrain building question :-)
Awhile ago I found some pictures of a marsh or swamp area (in the USA I think) that was a wonderful deep red colour in autumn. Very very unusual and I've not seen its like before.
Hunting around I cannot find any references in my links or even the picture I saved! Can anyone help?
Key things I remember are:
The colour was a deep red not pink
It had low lying / growing moss and plants that caused the colour
This was a seasonal colour not all year
Not many trees or plants though some trees showed at the edges of the area
It is very unique due to the colour and maybe an SSI
Can anyone help me identify the area or pictures and suitable flock and ground cover to reproduce this?

There are marshes around Boston, MA (ironic, given you come from near the original Boston).

Thank you for that picture - it looks wetter than the one I saw but the colours and look are great for the board :-)
As for the location lets not mention tea shall we?

It's nice that they were trying to have a tea party, that's the main thing. Obviously it was still early stages and they neglected to warm the pot, among some other incongruities, but it's important for them to make a start.
Hopefully Downton Abbey will have a beneficial effect.
