Title: An obscure request.
Post by: nic-e on October 24, 2013, 01:09:49 AM
hello my fellow lead heads ,i have a request for you.
I need to know how the hansa miniature from beyond the gates of Antares http://www.warlordgames.com/store/hansa-nairoba-freeborn-mercenary-captain-resin.html (http://www.warlordgames.com/store/hansa-nairoba-freeborn-mercenary-captain-resin.html) Compares next to a mantic corporation marine ,or enforcer marine.

I would love to field this miniature as the commander of my warpath army ,since the existing corporation general is a bit meh ,but im worried he's a bit too big.

If anyone can help ,i would be very grateful.

To be honest, I have no idea, but you've just made me shortlist another great looking mini there...  :D

If no one else can sort you out before then, I will snap a pic for you Saturday when I go home.

I have Enforcers and Corp. Marines, so I'll put him next to one of each.

Bear in mind that even though Hansa is sculpted by Kev White, it's a comission, so he may have changed his usual scale. And in fact I think this sculpt is bigger than his HF ones.

But if eMills can post a pic, that will settle this matter.

I think the Bolt Action range is a little chunkier than the Mantic Warpath range so it may be a little bigger. Cant imagine it's to far out of place though especially since its a Hero type unit so wont be ranked up with the others. Can't give you anything concrete.

Haven't heard much about that game since the kickstarter went belly up.

It was believed to be a  sounding board for a later project.

eMills ,that'd be great.

former user ,i do love alot of hasslefree stuff ,but their sci fi stuff doesn't do much for me.

Here is a comparison of a Mantic Enforcer and Hansa. Hansa might be a little shorter, the enforcer is in power armor.

No worries, it's still helpful to help me get a better sense of his size. He will defiantly be going in my corporation army.

eers for the help everyone :)

He's a great mini, though I do question the wisdom of any company that uses integrated bases now.  Extremely outdated concept, and the "slotta" tab is easier to remove for those who don't like slotted basing.

My thoughts aswell. the other sculpts for the game were awful, really sub standard when compared to what is on the market at the moment.
