Title: Infinite crypt
Post by: Chilledenuff on October 30, 2013, 06:48:59 AM
I've backed this, but I haven't seen it shared anywhere so I thought I would...

The spiel isn't brilliant but the product looks great.  Easy dungeon build, why thank you!

Cool, they're sort of lo-res in a good way! Makes me want to print out Doom textures to stick on the surface!

There was another thread on this.  General consensus was = good idea, very piss poor value compared to other MDF stuff.  If it were half the price, it'd do far more business.

I like the aesthetic of this one vs some of the other MDF stuff, but yes, the value here seems fairly low.

I can't see another thread. Could you link it, or alternatively suggest some cheaper alternatives? I've looked at a dozen terrain KS and this doesn't seem to me to be terribly different in price.

No, it's not terribly different in price, and that's the problem. It takes by their own account 4-5 minutes per piece for assembly, and then you have to paint it, all for a result that has a fraction of the detail of dwarven forge and as you say, isn't considerably cheaper. It needs to be cheaper on a factor several times over to make up for what you lose as compared with Dwarven Forge.

If you want a cheaper option look to Itar

Not sure if you'll have another opportunity to match the deal offered in the ks, but couldn't hurt to investigate.
