Good morning everyone I cannot claim this idea as origonal but would like to pass it on.Most gladiator rules seem to ge hex based, so do make a hex playing surface without going down the pre printed route .Take one cork tile ,on that draw a circle large enough to cover the whole area of the tile .Next buy enough 1" hex bases to cover that circle ,cover each base with paper hide the slot,paint each base the reguired colour.Stick bases on to circle ,one gladiator areana ready for play.Its up to you how much further you want to go ,IE put a stockade round it,adding a stand for the VIPs gates for the combatants to come and go.David. :)
