Aaargh!

Now I have to decide wether to get yet more Red Sailors or start a new Chinese Warlord Army  o_o

Actually, I think I've got as many sailors as I can possibly justify, having bought a load at Salute for my Bolshevik army.

The Chinese on the other hand are very, very tempting.

They'd go very well with my surplus to requirements 1/48 Lancia armoured car and Smer Ansaldo SVA kit. I could even add a small contingent of Artizan Italians as a Warlord bodyguard. Not that the Italians sent any military advisors to China...it is the Back of Beyond though so I guess anything goes  :D

This is the armoured car:

Seems like a great excuse to build an entire Chinese Warlord's army equipped with the best Italian army surplus money can buy  ;D

And, aerial support too:

Nice.

I ordered a Lancia at Partizan yesterday, though I cant recall the name of the guy who makes them  He is new, and does some superb Spanish Civil War vehicles as well.  Once it arrives, I'll let you know.  By the way, there were some Italians in Siberia.  Yet another contingent on their way through the chaos of Russia.  They made it in the end to Vladivostock.  Dashed if I can recall the source though.  Somewhere in my book collection.......damn this ageing process....what did you say your name was again?

That's the SCHUCO Lancia Ansaldo - but it's 1/43 and really huge

I managed to persuade photobucket to upload the photos (eventually  >:() so here you go:

A bit bigger than the real thing but I think it looks like a fair match for 28mm.

Each to his own I guess.

I'll still use it, as I've got the thing already, and it is still pretty cool.

As long as it doesn't end up anywhere near the far too small Copplestone Rolls Royce or HLBS armoured vehicles, then I should get away with it
 :D

of course, didn't want to talk you out of using it, it's a lovely car and I would use it too if I'd own it :)

Alex,

I see that Force of Arms has added a new model to their list:
Italian Lancia IZ/IZM armoured ‘car’

http://www.forceofarms.co.uk/catalogue.pdf (http://www.forceofarms.co.uk/catalogue.pdf)

Well, scratch that off my build list!  The FOA models are excellent!  I'm going to have to order one and some others from them, I cannot locate any pics though. So it must be a new release.

It was a Force of Arms one I ordered at Partizan.  As you say Brent, gorgeous models.  A bit big, but not out of sight.  By the way, I'll have a train set please!
