I painted some of the Hydra Miniatures Robot Legion the other day, for a small teams skirmish game project I'm planning.
I love these sculpts, they were very fun to paint.

To compare scale, here is a robot next to the leader of another team, my 'Captain Vok' from Reaper.

Very nice!
And I like Vok. Hotshot pilot archetype for Fantastic Worlds?
-
They're splendid! I'm not normally a fan of cloaks in Sf, but here it looks just the part. The colour scheme is good too. All round top bunch.
-
Top stuff. Nice characterful minis and the bright colour scheme really sets them off well.
-
These are excellent. :)
-
really nice painting!
-
Great colour choice and great painting, love 'em
-
Damn, they're beautiful. Really enjoy your painting!
-
Wonderful job on those! I have a few of the robots, too, tried painting them up like Agis's blue ones. I really like your take on them and you choice of colors, especially. Nice job!
-
Very, very nice job on some wonderful and stylish models!

Thanks all, much appreciated :D
Froggy: no experience with that rule set, but that describes the character fairly well. Vok is the captain of The Starship Drowsy Wombat, from the Pangalactic Confederation of Planets. I have a variety of aliens for an exploration team that I used in a campaign of Empire of the Dead, running them as a Gentlemen's Club, exploring Earth in Victorian London.
The robots will be a team for a pulp sci-fi setting I'm calling 'Planets in Peril' that I may run a multi-player game at a convention in the future or for club game nights. There will be many different small teams.
I got some of the fun new aliens from CP, converted the leaders yesterday, they'll be from the 'Suzerainty of Phorus'

Great colour choices and brushwork on those robots.
:-*
I have some myself and agree that they are fun to paint.
Nice conversions on the CP guys.

The only problem is now I feel the need for a Vok and some of those Avians, damn you!
;)

Are there any more Vok type aliens out there - in case he needed a friend or two?

Very nice robots. Love the colour choices. I do like hydra miniatures a lot ... esp. Their space girls ... very retro.
