Hi Everyone :)
This was a test piece for something different I was working on but, it didn't come out right. So instead of chucking this piece out, I have decided to make it into a space creature!
Its only a work in progress at the moment, but its going to have ten Tentacles maybe with Eyes, Blades on the end or even holding a a ray gun :)
What do you think so far?

Cheers

Looks great! I would go for the blades/ray gun option instead of eyes, but that's just my 2 cents.
-
I like those a lot. Big boxlike rayguns looking like repurposed early cameras would be amazing.

LOVE IT!
It puts me in mind of the Fiend Folio AD&D 1st Edition "Grell"!

:o AAAHHHH!!! >:( we hates the floating monster, lost all our xcom troops to it we did ,many times. AAAHHH!!! :o
-
Great! I love the brain texture!
-
Nice sculpt! I do think I prefer the original tentacles, they had more movement to them.
-
Im looking forward to seeing the rayguns. The more Flash Gordon the better please :)

This is such a cool space monster. It would fit so well into any 60's/70's science fiction series. I need a pair of these guys for my Space:1999 games. I really like the new tentacles too. I agree they aren't as animated as the ones from the first shots, but I can practically see the wires holding that one tentacle up as the creature floats down the corridors.
-
Unless cast in resin or very brittle alloy, the tentacles shouldn't be too difficult to bend in any way people want,
Cool thing.
-
The tentacles should be quite easy to bend into new positions once cast in metal as PF pointed out

love it
:D
-
Just for contrariness, I would have had a couple of large-orb-or-faceted eyes, on somewhat shorter stalks, but not an impossible conversion, should my will flag. :D
'I hear the brain! It CALLS me, it does!' ;)

Forgot to say that CP will be putting this sculpt into production in the new year and I think George is working on a couple of tentacles with eyes and another with a ray gun
I will probably do them as a set of two figures the same as my Cerebalites with a variety of tentacles included

Tentacles with a ray gun or guns or other technological items makes these particularly appealing to me.

Sounds good to me. My cerebalites and medusharks could do with the ranged support :)
