Mine came through t'other day. I'm painting it up and will give it a quick critique then, but suffice to say it's nice and crisp, with good proportions and a realistic pose.

As mentioned by others, it's a lovely sculpt, and I'm looking forward to have a go at painting it.

Franck very kindly sent me a few free samples when he first introduced this range a couple of years ago.
I used some of them in the lead painters league...

Very nice figures indeed :)

Haven't mentioned that my sample arrived a week or so ago. Like others, I also wish to state that the sculpting is very fine. He's going to be able to squeeze in with the other Unionists I have half done on the painting queue.

Thank you again.

Do you do anything else other than moan? The guys are taking a huge hit in the pocket by doing this and anyone who get's a figure for FREE from them should be happy. If you don't get one don't start crying about it as it hasn't affected your life.

Quite. They are doing "us" a favour!

So lack of communication (which is regarded as negative) is now regarded as moaning?, why don't you fuck off.

Please do not swear at other members, other issues aside it is a rules breach

Swearing at members is no-go here and you know this. Time for you to take a break from LAF for a while. See you in four weeks.

On a more cheerful note, I emailed them yesterday evening to see if the offer was still open, as I missed it originally, and I received a reply today to say that they'd be pleased to send me a free sample,  :)
The figures look wonderful.

They're very nice, at least the French Soldier I got.  Looking forward to painting him up and putting him on a stand.  My first Napoleonic!

This was a great thing to offer people.

I don't really have an intention of starting an army in any of the periods offered despite the models looking fantastic so I felt it would be wrong to take advantage and order a free figure for the sake of it with no intention to buy more.

I will certainly keep an eye on these guys in the future though.

Very nice. I see the heads are separate. Any chance of doing some negro heads (does that sound racist? but saying black heads just sounds stupid) so I can do the Harlem Hellfighters.  If not it, doesn't matter, just a bit of slightly to very darker skin and nobody could tell the difference at this scale on the table.

I know they wore  French Uniforms, did they also carry French weapons?

My two figures turned up and they are superb models. I will be using there French WW1 stuff later on this year and the ACW for various VSF adventures. Communication was great even offered to help with the price of postage as I am UK based and they politely told me I didn't have to. I would seriously recommend them.
